Title: Which awg wire to use to extend motor wiring?

I have a Racerstar 2205 2300 KV motor which i need to connect to a 4 in 1 35 amp racerstar esc. However the wire is too short. What  AWG wire i need to extend it? It shows 22AWG on the motor wire. Should i get that or 16 AWG will be better?

Refer to the table attached below.
If a specific gauge of wire works, the lower gauge will work as well with no problems as the wire just gets thicker.
