Hi there!
I am fairly new to quadcopters.  I am interested in building a long range quad for FPV purpose, hence would like to partner with someone technically and with similar interest. I am based in Mumbai so will appreciate some help.

The topic chosen by you "Mutlicopters" is very deep and rather more advanced. Since, you are a beginner you need to learn a lot before you get your machine airborne. I would advise you to first kindly read more and more about multicopters and then step into it. You can contact Satya Gupta sir from quadkopters.com. He is from Mumbai and can guide you everywhere.

BLDC motor= Brushless DC motor. EMAX is also BLDC motor brand :P

What is your project oriented towards? Are you just making a model to fly manually or do you plan to perform autonomous flight? The KK boards are just stabilization boards. They will stabilize the quadrotor, but since they do not have a GPS port they cannot be used as an autopilot.

An autopilot such as "APM ardupilot" (highly recommended as it is one of the most advanced open source autopilots, with an amazing groundstation, features that are useful from beginner to advanced) or a "multiwii PRO" use a GPS to enable features such as autopilot mission planning, autonomous return-to-home, and autonomous position hold.
