Hi! I am beginner to the quad copters and recently built a quad with kk2.1.5 flight controller, f450 frame ,30A ESCs ,10 inch props and 1000kv cheap motors . After assembling I tested it for first time, at the time of lifting it flipped and crashed. Then I calibrated ESCs and calibrated all sensors and tested it again, but this time it got lifted up properly but started wobbling and crashed again. Then I tried tuning PI gains but this did not affect its wobbling. To overcome wobbling I replaced all my 4 motors with 920kv DJI phantom T-motors and 9 inch propellers and ESCs. Now again after testing, it had the same problem of wobbling and crashing. After that I flashed the kk2.1 from 1.19 to 1.17 and again tried it to fly but it shows the same problem. Now I am not able to figure out exact problem in this case,

I request to guide me urgently to overcome this problem .

Seems like problem with the gyroscope. Did you activate self level? Also go to settings》gyro bubble 》Check if the dot moves x and y axis.

mayur22

It wobbles in both self level and acro, dot moves in both the axis but it's not at the centre. What should I do?

kiran rc

Are the values of acc calibration 'OK'. Any errors during calibration?

You must place the FC on a level surface while calibrating the acclerometer.

mayur22

Yes acc is fine. Seems like problem with gyro, gyro bubble is not at the centre.

kiran rc

However, the non centering of gyro shouldn't make it wobble, rather tilt it slight towards one direction in flight. Still I suspect a bad mpu6050.
Does it flip during flight?

mayur22

What may be the other reasons for quad's bad wobble?

kiran rc

Vibrations can be another cause. Try damping the board.

mayur22

Flip means, At the time of flying soon after lifting up it wobbles badly and turns up side down and crashes.

kiran rc

Are you able to move/control the quad in air? Or does it flip just after taking of straight in air. If it flips on takeoff, check you prop and FC orientation.

mayur22

No that may not be the problem. Yes it reacts to the controls, All props are attached correctly.

If you don't mind and  if your using whats app can you just send me your contact number so that I can send you the video of my Quad.

Yes I can but it'll be better to link through youtube, others can also help you regarding the issue. Just post a short video.

I had the same issue with my kk2 mini board ...try to factory reset the board

mayur22

Yea I have posted my video on youtube.

I had the same issue when I was doing my quad with the first KK board's. It's very hard to adjust the settings on this board.
Here are few things that you should verify.

1. Check the motors are connected as suggested direction. For example https://rcexplorer.se/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/motorsquadx.jpg
2. Check if you are using the right props (CW/CCW as per the suggested motor-prop setup
3.Try to put a dampening pad under the KK board as the vibrations of the quad during take off might effect the flight stability
4.I also used the throttle trim function and adjusting the GAIN values.

There is also lot of other quad forums where you can try to find similar kind of problems associated with KK Board Quad setup.

Also, try to use some kind of stands for the quad instead of using the bouncy balls. The problem with those balls is that, when one of the motor puts a little more pressure than rest of the three and when it tries to take off, it might cause unnecessary reaction force which causes the bouncy behaviour. However, its just a factor.

Good luck.

try with some other fc its not the motor or esc,if you already tried by lowering the values on pid still no change then get another fc

forget everything and just do a good Propeller Balancing. and ur good to go. It happened to me also. I did everything but no result. finally I did the prop balancing and it worked out smooth and stable. if you dont know how to balance , check on youtube. ur from Goa. me too.
