Yes Yoshitaji,

Your sincere effort to publish such a nice article on Rc boat building will guide those who have hobby of boat building, other rc enthusiasts and newcomers too.

Some of my friends (RCI & Local) know that I was about to quit this hobby after completion of RC Submarine, but your article in MID-DAY news paper propelled me to build some more interesting rc models.

Your article not only boosted me but also convinced my family members to sail this project to some more miles in small boats and small water bodies.

On behalf of RCI Team I am thankful to you as well as MID DAY.
Regards,
SB Maharana.

I think the entire credit goes to Yoshitaji for publishing such nice article on model boat building hobby as well as other relevant information about rc boat in India.

Rightly so there has never been a single story written about this activity/ hobby in India and no reference point. This will become a good reference point for people in the future.

I request her to visit our forum again and again, there are more talented persons are here in our forum in many rc activities and DIY projects. Her presence and comments will boost us to reach to a higher limit.

One question... any article in the past on RC has been focused on aero or ground models (planes/helis/cars).  Why (or how) did Midday think about boats ?

Was it just a quest for variety ?  Or did someone hint about this whole another area within RC ?

Thank You everyone for the wonderful feedback. And to answer Anwar's question, it is a quest for variety. I work for the Sunday edition of the paper and we have a section called change (where the RC boat story was published). That section particularly looks at developing trends (positive and negative) in the country and it can anything from Yezdi bikes becoming popular again to RC boats and fashion trends to the new trend of lack of burial space in the city. So, in case you can see more such trends keep me posted :)....

P.S. -- Please feel free to share and comment on the midday link ... it just encourages the paper and the editors to continue approving and carrying such articles.

To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!

One thing I felt missing was RC sail boats (non-powered).  They seem to be a lot more fun than the powered ones... powered by mother nature (winds) alone, yet controlled by us !

Didn't know if it was a trend. And didn't have a reference point for the story. The first to have written about something like this is difficult. There are huge possibilities of missing out on things, especially if you have to pull it off in 2 days. Next time :)

Anwar bhai, it was my mistake; I gave some photographs of sailboat but did not feel it necessary to explain the working principle as well as the excitement & challenge involved in sailing. Long back I made a non-rc sailboat, at that time I didn't have much knowledge to make it rc. But now a beautiful servo is available to control the mainsail.

Akash, one thing we are forgetting that we made it and able to convince Yoshitaji and Mid-day to publish a complete two pages article on rc boat and it became good for this hobby. They also pronounced about this article on the Saturday edition itself.
