I have just registered for this site. My kids and I plan to assemble model boats as a hobby.
Need some guidance to start with basic models that can be assembled and can be operated.
Any suggestions where to start from. I can buy / pick up models from Mumbai / Bangalore area. :help:
Welcome to the club!
If you look under the 'Boats' section, you will see that most of the modellers here are scratch builders, i.e., they don't work out of kits. This is primarily due to the fact that, Boat Kits are seldom seen in the market.
If you elaborate on what type of boats you plan to assemble, we can collectively guide you.
Regards.
Hi VC,
I saw 2 kits on the below thread. I would like to purchase both to start with.
I guess it will be a good start for my kids and me.

PERFECT example of how modern technology can be misleading and frustrating. In the above post by Gusty - the entire link is in green EXCEPT the last parenthesis or "closed bracket", which is in black. Click on it and see where it takes you. :banghead:
Highlight the entire link and click it! Open it in a new tab and add a bracket at the end of the link :

Try the Air Conditioning, Refrigerator repairing shops. You should find copper tubes there. For Brass tubes contact alokhovercraft (http://www.rcindia.org/profile/?u=5364).
