Good evening all of my Friends and colleagues..when i got two of boat kits, from VC Sir, i was too happy to assemble it..it took me in to my adulthood, the time of kit building..ans i enjoyed a lots model making with these boat kits, and still enjoying..
first of all i am thanking to VC Sir, for these lovely kits.its easy to build, and value for money. its appropriate for beginner and expert as well..
I started with smaller one at first..there wasn't more to think as all it was easy. took some easy steps..starts from keel, with bulk heads..
i apologizes for the multiple postings here..more than 2 photos is not supporting..the both kits arrived intact..and started with keel and bulkheads..
instruction shows the easiest building methods..simple..
side strips are attached..with 72 grade super glue..
attaching bottom panels are easy job..
side walls also easiest jobs..
internal structure and top paving..look..how easy it all..
started gap filling by polyester car body putty, and latter with Nitrocellulose putty..
when i got those kits, the prop, prop shaft, rudder were missing.so i have to make one own.by taking an inner tube from an old radio antenna, it was over. prop shaft was made out of bicycle spoke. Gokul gave me a scale prop, from his ship model kit collection.
the thread of the bicycle spoke was threaded in to the silicon prop, by drilling a hole in it..some drops of super glue..its fine..
Now that is what I call a build thread! {:)} {:)} {:)}
making a hole in to ahull, or an airframe of an aircraft model is easy with a round needle file attached to a drill..
Thank you Vc Sir..and once again a million thanks for the kits.. :hatsoff:
at first my intention to power this craft was with my own home made brushles, but its too powerful for this tiny craft, and the hand made ESC was some bigger to accommodate. so i turned to a smaller brush less.
all gaps were retouched by polyester putty.
there is no compromise for the performance..so i added a kort nozzle to the prop.it also acts as a prop guard and also as a froth generator.
after thorough checking the craft was behaving like a sport horse..so i decided to add my imagination on it..whats a craft without some imagination..? so i started my own design variations on it..
i started with a dummy engine on hull..it also acts as the rudder.
i fixed a 1000 rpm/volts BLDC on craft.
then started to fix trimming and splash strips.all from foam board.(sun board, Styrofoam etc..)..
then super structure..
you can see the shaft attachment to the BLDC..it was a brass tube, for the model ships.i heated up on the gas stove, and hammered to the BLDC shaft, with some 72 grade super glue.
rudder was actuated by a micro servo, with an easy connector..the push rod is a thin brass welding rod.
and structure is almost complete.
after completion of structure, i started painting..
none of any expensive paints are used, but i bought a sample tin of paint of enamel, and hand brushed it all..
painting in progress..
windows were made of drawing paper and seasoned..finished in aluminum paint..
after paint ..the decals..all made in photoshop, and corel draw..
showing various angles..
close ups..all hand painted..how easy it..all..
bollards made out of ear bud stem, and brass welding rods..
showing my Brave Fisher man..actually this figure was a German infantry soldier, of ww2, but reworked some for my angles..
in water..she is a high performer...
she is elegant..Vc Sir..thanks once again for these extra ordinary kits..
craft in froth generating mode..
in sprint modes..
You made this from the Speedy Cruiser kit??? :o
Wow! {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)}
How does the Froth Generator work?
in high sprint speed mode..
oh God..my connection is a head ache..same photos are uploading again.. :banghead:
Vc Sir, froth generator is simple..it follows..but my connection is behaving its own..oh..
she behaved nicely in hands of Gokul ravindran..
showing the froth generator set up..all you see a kort nozzle, and two holes on it..by adding a silicon tube, to the hole in suction side, of the nozzle, and placing its tip above water, the prop sucks water along with air from same direction..so the air is mixed up with water and atomizes..makes a great rate of froth..its easy..but yes the performance will decreases because of suction leak, from air tube.
and in close up..see how simple it is..
yes VC Sir..i converted it from Speedy Cruiser kit..i cant make a craft without my imagination..
Friends now i hope you all may got some idea to make a simple craft and run..
yes sure see videos here..
1. with froth generator..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qWoZJ2UJI4
2. in high sprint mode..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gGadDhC0mQ
see how simple it is..have a nice craft to you all..and loads of enjoyment..
Gr8 work, Roopesh. :hatsoff:
i think its time for you to go back to MBM and clear the air there too, if you haven't done it already. IMHO you are the best boat guy.
Thank you Augustine Sir. i already started to sharing my works in MBMH. and thanks once again for the inspiration. :salute:
