sorry for the repeated postings once again..Friends..i spent hours of time to post all these build log, of this craft, is not to show anything about me, and i am only a humble modeler among you all, but see here how easy to make a real replica..i was working with only some photographs..all scale was sketched in my mind..no plans..no sophisticated machines and equipments..no laser cut parts..no expensive woods..no any extreme electronics..all simple..and see how beautiful she is..when i saw her in water, the mood inspires the real voyages done by her..in real service life..oh..its all far beyond explanations..God..still you can see here how simple is to make a craft..and if i use any costly paints and polishes, the final result may even better..but see what for..? so, do not be lazy..do not keep distance from model making..its all easy..any craft..any size..and any type..cost..? for a lunch..for two..result..? realization of dream..and life..

yes..see the video..

A great example of Hard Work and Passion once again. Now I have to think, when should I start to build a boat.

:hatsoff:

Roopesh sir! The boat is awesome and makes me desperate to build one myself, My boat wouldn't be that perfect though. Everything you use...in your boats...I mean using those straws as Gun Barrel and all that...A common man can't think of these things in such kind of use. This is what we should call real scratch building. Amazing. Roopesh sir, Keep up doing this amazing inspirational work and more and more people will eventually start making water crafts on their own. Great build and greatly explained. My Salute to you.  :salute:

This thread deserves a bump back to the top. There is a wealth of information for scratch builders to learn from.

Roopesh, I have a small request. Will it be possible for you to post a series of pictures showing us how you transform a thermocole block into a streamlined Hull? As I have mentioned in another thread, the main reason why many don't venture into Boat / Ship modelling is due to the fact that the hull is difficult to make out of balsa. If you could teach us how to do it out of thermocole, we could all learn. Please show us the various steps involved - what implements to use, what filler, surfacer etc.

Hope you will oblige.

Regards.

+1 VC Sir. I am with you on this. Having a step by step tutorial or guide to make thermocole block hull would be a lot better for beginners like me.
