Friends.. Colleagues.. this one is my ultimate race boat.. this one is not a copy of anything.. but all from my imagination and workmanship.. as modelers we do not need to copy anything to make a high performance machine.. but i copy while some thing seen interested.. and yes not possible to add any imaginations on commissioned model works.. but here this one is based purely on my imagination..
it was my long dream to make hydro boats.. so this one is first.. and following with two more.. this one spans in to 29 inches, yes to race with my other boats.. and proportionally wider.. this one is powered by a simple brushless motor, is an outrunner is got as damaged, but reworked and workig fine.. the motor shows its a 2700 RPM motor.. still it drops 12 to 16 amps at hull load with a hand made hydrofoil propeller..
so i started from sponsons.. working with foam board is dancing at ballet.. so easy..
so simple that cam make two a day.. the cockpit was made of a cover of a candy..
some reworks..and prop shaft outer from ball point pen body with two simple bushes at tips.. this time i used the eyelets of shoes.. is brass.. drive shaft is 4mm bicycle spoke.. prop hand made..
added spoilers.. and painted over cockpit..
now time to paint.. this time i choose three tone colour scheme to get eye catching results..
sticker time.. no any craft will be perfect without stickers.. so all worked in softwares, and printed in an A4 paper.. so, cut and paste.. lots of artwork..
finishing.. glue and under fan...
almost complete.. look how nice she is..
with clear sprayed.. and final finishing..
action time.. and in action..
my growing race boat family.. Friends.. look here once.. here i havent used anything as extra ordinary or expensive... so, make crafts.. with foam boards.. its too stiff when formed as a structure.. easy to work.. with a song..
see action here.. once again sorry for the slow video.. cant control her alone, with camera in one hand.. and my lake is narrow now due to poor rain.. she is so fast so, reaches the next end within seconds.. so hard to follow while looking through the view finder.. just like looking through the rear view mirror.. so will add a long fast running videos when i get Vinodettan here... even with lower ESC timings it is too fast...

some of my respected modeling friends asked one thing that about motor set up.. answering individually is tough job.. because of the low profile and big motor, i fixed motor in 90 degree to hull.. for this only remedy was making an universal joint my self.. i made an universal joint from bicycle spoke nipple sized in 5mm inner dia..
its cool...the joint was attached together with a piece of spoke it self..
will add the video its working..
ESC was converted in to water cooling...
cooling jacet was made of aluminum C channel..
inlets and out was taken with brass tubes and thick foam boards..
now ready..
will add a detailed descriptions about this power train set ups.. nothing is tough here.. :salute:
