Good morning all friends...all you know, i am not interested to make any craft from any kits...so i always navigate through my way...imagination...and i starts from "0"...but from some inspiration from all...this is my full fillment of a fire and crash tender craft, inspired by the real RAF craft...
as usual, i started from thermocol...after making a sketch, in to 1:35th scale, i started to make it....
first of all i made a block of thermocol as usual..in to my size...2 feet long,8 inches wide...
after basic finish, i finished it with car body putty....that you see here...
then whole super structure is made from drawing paper....
my craft is powered by a reworked toy motor, was a simple toy motor, in to 3 volts, and i reworked for 6 volts...after fixing a bush at rear cover, adding some fins by aluminium sheets, finally a turbine from same alum sheet....
the speed controller is based on TIP 3055, and full function was controlled by a toy radio system, in to 35.456 MHz....i used the turbo function of Rx 2 to activate the fire pump...
this craft is equiped with a bow thrust pump, along with conventional rudder,to get an easy control over turnings...the thrust pump was driven by an other reworked toy motor...driving via a big gear...scraped from an old radio...
the water pump was operated by the turbo, and it was controlled by a relay....the pump was a 12 volt wind shield washer from a car, but i reworked its winding in to 6 volts...1 amps...
the rudder was controlled by a scraped toy gear box, with Rx 2 B....
the cetrifugal thrust pump was made out of foam board...
prop is made from an aluminium sheet, from a pot lid...shaft is a cycle spoke, and outer shaft is a ball point pen body...
i finished it in signal red paint, by adding lots of talcum powder in it.....
stickers are made from Photoshop, and printed in a high quality printer on a A4 paper...
then cuts outed to craft...with glue....
then it started its service....now almost daily it gets a drive in my pool, or river...
the toy Transmiter was reworked to a high standard, to work with without fail, for long distances...i added an antenna in to 1.5 meters...
with 2N 2219 transistors, in to 12 volts 1 amps...
and on..
here...
its a sam on hull...so sure see the video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fImQzDac3WQ
