Good morning all respected modelers.. last week, i got an order from one of the prestigious ship docks of my Nation, to make a full RC full functioning tug boat.. so i got ample of photographs of various tugs, many are not builded or used here.. so, i got a thinking to make a good tugboat.. so, i found one so interesting in its nature and shape.. so, i took some aspects from various tugs, and realized this one.. and result became so amazing.. the back portion of the tug is finished in such a way as deep V .. this gave me ample of stability even at very high speeds.. this one is 100% scratch built and from thermocol.. nothing is used here as extreme stuffs to complete her.. and after finishing this one i maled these photographs to one of the senior Engineer, and he told me that he needs this model personally, and adviced me as these types of tugs are used in various roles from trawling to towing.. so here i started from thermocol.. as i explained many before, think need not more about primary steps..
here you can see the hull is finished and by putty works.. the prop shaft is made of ball pen body with brass bushes at tips.. for long life..

prop was made of washers and nuts, and later i made hydrofoil sections over blades.. by using PU putty.. this makes the prop so efficient.. in all RPM range.. this combi is one of the ever successful, with 1000 or 1200 kV motors...

now we can see the simple arrangement of motor and drive train.. can see the out runner motor is fixed on a heat sink, scraped from a power amp.. two windows kept opened in front and rear of bridge ensures cool air flow all the while.. the drive shaft is a 4 mm bicycle spoke, and drive coupling is from bicycle spoke nipples.. the machine is based on 7.4 volts..

winch is finished.. depicts black metallic cable.. and added full lighting except the tow and signal lights as i am waiting for the real instructions from seniors about this..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

have to add more lights as this one is intended for night time RCying..

i fixed blue L E D panels inside the bridge, to save battery... time of mission.. i love this craft so much, as this one is extreme stable, at all speeds.. so matured at low speeds, but changes its nature as throttle opens.. then she runs like a speed boat.. with ample of torque..

she is so beautiful beast from all angles..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

so cool..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

she is one of the best craft in my collection with speed and stability, along with battery life.. thanks for the shape of the hull.. and surely she can pull a person in water..

all respected ones.. here we can see one more craft from me.. and i spend about 200 Rs/- to complete this one.. so..? shows us we can make ample of crafts from the material around us.. and not to keep in show case.. but to RC it.. for hours.. so, save a little money.. and make some good crafts.. here is the cool action...

all respected modelers.. one of the most tough side of using a bicycle spoke to drive the prop is rusting.. that if you un attended after RCying.. to prevent this we have a simple remedy.. make outer tubes from transparent ball point tubes.. these are much effective even in speed crafts that you can see in my HYDRA and VIRGINA.. by adding a brass or copper or platic tube as vertical at base of the tube you can simply oil it by all the time.. to prevent rust i am giving you a best combination ever.. but please do not use this when you use the craft in a swimming pool or tub.. best combination of rust prevention is the mix of 2T engine oil with kerosene, as in the ratio of 80:20.. means 80 % 2Toil and 20% kerosene.. works well and lubes well all the while.. and if you are using the boat in a swimming pool or tub, can use coconut oil.. fine.. here you can see the simple set up of the drive train.. can oil at all the times and also can see inside for any rust effects..
