Good after noon all respected Modelers..
here, is one of my humble effort to realize the ever potent and classic war machine of WW2.. the British Vosper Perkasa.. as it is hard to explain the history here about this craft, anyone can Google it once.. this craft was driven by three gas turbo shaft engines, in mission, and diesel engines were used to maneur.. so we can simply imagine the potential of this machine.. so, she must be fast.. and became one of the greatest machine in my collection..
this time also, there is no plans to download, but entire scaling is done by orthographic projection, (3 View), and scaled to 30 inches, as my all PT boats are designed in this scale.. a great combination RCying.. this one is 100 % scratch built, except the motor and simple servos..

here i starts from big "0" from my work table.. here i prooves once again, we do not need any extra ordinary tools to make an outstanding, practical  craft.. here my tools are a heavy duty art knife, a point iron, nose plier, and some hand tools..
here we are.. after proper sketching, template is made on a drawing paper.. then on foam board.. this one is fully made of foam board of 3 mm..
as we are scratch builders there is no restrictions.. adding the bulkheads, up to me needs, while keeping all aspects for internal machines..

one of the easy aspect with working foam board is easyness.. to me, when compared, foam board, (styroflex) stands just second to thermocole..( expanded polystrene).. within an hour the hull is on the mark..

with keeping all experience in mind, i delibrately done some needed changes on hull from original.. why..? yes because this one is not designed and crafted for keeping on bookshelf.. instead this one is for great RCying.. practical.. not a show piece.. so, some minor reshaping is a must..
Phoenix.........

now hull is ready.. time to fix motor..
the motor cooling jacket is made of aluminum C channel, and here i used an immensely powerful motor.. no compromise..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

drive, driven tubes are from sketch pen body and bicycle spokes...placed at an angle, with ease..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

the entire gaps were sealed with PS grey.. it adds extreme stiffness with some elasticity..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

time to fix motor.. look how simple all.. the cooling tubes are installed..you can also see the rudder servo assy..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

cooling system in detail.. we can use same motor cooling line to cool ESC.. used copper tubes as it is inexpensive and never rusts..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

prop is made of aluminum sheet of a kitchen lid.. the scoop to cool motor is copper tube.. rudder panel is foam board..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now everything in schedule.. now time to build super structure.. template with paper.. a simple dry run, as the shape of the super structure is complicated.. here 90 % of the super structure is drawing paper.. and foam board..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

started working.. later waterproofed..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

progress..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

for most of the modelers the extra ordinary shape is a tough job.. but here i shows you all how easy to follow..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

see here.. the making of curves.. we can make any shape in to any size.. with a song at lips.. not a torturous activity..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

completed.. and in place..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

time to add the tail..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

adding the exhaust assy of diesel engines.. all sketch pen body..
and priming..with PS Grey.. not PSL Grey..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

some rechecking is a must, to follow the scale.. dry tests..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

making sure every thing is ok..
the mast is made od an old ball point refiller..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

more priming and adding the radar mast..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

everything is ok..
Torpedos.. the torpedos are made of some glue caps, pvc pipes and caps from super glue..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

all glued togather..
the vane assy was made of same pvc pipe..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

priming and initial painting..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

torpedo holders are made of foam board..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

dry run.. on positions..
