hi friends check out my new cheap project of rc boat on brushed motor
material used is 2-3 mm plywood
30mm brushed motor with turningy brushed esc running on 3S 1000mAh Lipo, 9g servo, 32 prop
motor is water cooled (ofcourse home made water cooling) motor brush are also cooled (hope it works)
collet is most difficult part i faced in shipmodelling :banghead: but managed to make one using GEL PEN Refill, EPOXY AND CA GLUE
Any ideas for collet for flexible shaft :help:
this is the test run

Hi Amit! Where is this lake? I'd be really glad to come over and watch your boats and also test my hovercraft on that lake!
Just saw the full video and, hell, that lake is just 500 meters from my house! Never went there because it's too crowded and dirty!
Anyways, that's one speedy boat you got there! Really cool! {:)}
yep it's too crowed and dirty that's the compromise you have to make for the love of boat
but it's the best place to test things out
Reasons
1. Boating facility for recovery
2. Grass free lake
[Admin Note] Split out from "RC People", and moved into the "Boats" board.
So do you stay around? And when are you planning to do the next test?
thanks anwar sir
i was wondering where to post
thanks once again...... :salute:
Nice Build Amit!!!
Good speed as well...
Collet.. every boat makers pain... Why dont you get a standard brass coupler machined. easier than actually making a collet.
Shreekant

Some pictures of my boats.
