A hovercraft built by me and my team (naveen, kushagra, ved, saurav, vaishvik) in college.

@ archer sir,
Looks well built, though may be overpowered.
Why didn't you put up a video?
Regards.

The servo looks like its not mounted properly.
It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic,
Of all things physical and metaphysical,
Of all things human and all things super-human,
Of all true manifestations of the head,
Of the heart, of the soul,
That the life is recognizable in its expression,
That form ever follows function. This is the law.

Thank you Iyer sir...:)
actually the video is on you tube. my internet became faulty as I finished uploading the photos so couldn't post it.
Anyways here is the link hope you like it....:)

@LastRites
sir I arranged them in an order to get a better throw....
could you suggest a better way of mounting them...?..:)

Surround it with a piece of foam maybe.. to provide support?

Great job! Handles really well.  {:)}

Add some hot glue to the base of the servo and it should do okay. Iyer sir is right, considering the size of your hovercraft, it's overpowered.

Check these out for a better skirt design.

@archer sir,
Now that you have verified that the concept works, the next question is 'is it energy efficient?'
With enough power even a heli flies!
Try to set up a controlled experiment to see how much energy is consumed in moving say 1kg payload 50 meters in 10 secs.
How will it compare with a simple wheeled vehicle?

archer

@Iyer sir,
Sure sir will ask my teammates to give it a shot...:)
The craft will be in college as I leave.
Will update regarding the development of the craft.
we have plans of making it autonomous...:)

Moreover we also wish to test it out on water which I couldn't get time to do...

@Swapnil sir,
thanks for the links...:)
Also there is a method for designing a skirt by a person named AJ middleton.
He has provided a very detailed description along with the required calculations to make a bag skirt.
It should be helpful to anyone making their initial hovercraft.
Just search for "bag skirt by AJ middleton".
A million thanks to this author for the info.

Nice Hovercraft...:thumbsup: You could optimize the setup by experimenting with different prop. motor and battery combinations...
