If gajjar sir makes Smite duplicates, then i will have to go to Lucknow, hunt through my junk and retrieve my model airboat (like they run in the Everglades).

Exactly what I was talking about a few minutes ago. Call disconnected - Guwahati is the ONLY city in the world where cellphone calls end abruptly once there is a power failure/load shedding. My UPS is about to collapse. I want a SMITE plan. Someone please help.

I remember the air-tricycle that you had made in 1987 while we were in living in Ameerpet, Hyd. The tricycle was powered by a Cox engine and Baba's He-man was the passenger. The model air boat you must have made after I had left.

First time I have put my hand into fomeee. Smite looks sexy in it. Spent half day on it and was able to make only structure. I thought to complete it before Monday but any way will have to give 2-3 hrs tomorrow to set rc into it.

I did not noticed that the kit which I have is almost made in 1973.  

Great build. I am tempted to build one but with two Smites already in my workshop I have to hold myself back. First need to restore them back to health. Do you plan to strengthen the underside by a layer of fibre glass as the foam could tear off if the boat hits some undergrowth in the pond?

How to strengthen the foamboard from inside?

Paint it with 2 part epoxy like Araldite (VERY STRONG) or with Wembleys Quickfix + Thinner (STRONG).

Won't Thinner eat away foam board?

I am going to apply glass fiber cloth on bottom with clear coat. I think this set up is enough to give strength.!!!
