I thought of building another RC boat, but this time it will be simple and super cheap, the original design is from Mr. Roopesh from the forum.I brought a cheap toy car, and used the most of it for electronic and hardware, (actually I already Build, n this is the build log)
its made out of 3mm foam board
this is the car which I used to build this boat. what I got is 2 geared motor 2 ch remote some led'sand some of its parts used as hardware
the prop is made out of aluminium lid, shaft with bicycle spoke and pen was used for stand tube and rudder with brass brazing rod and foamboard
hey desachristopher
neat build there....
Please be careful with the range of these cheap toy radios. they done go above 20-30 feet ....
I had almost lost one air boat due to range issues........ :banghead:
Still thanking the wind gods who safely bought the boat to the shore.....:D
thanks madaquif, will keep dat in mind,
there's a dock behind my house, three sides are covered, no much risk of losing it.
here is the prop shaft attached to motor, and some more pics
I made the servo rotate continuously on either sides, and fitted 2 pulleys 1 big to rudder, and 1 small to servo, to reduce the seed of the rudder.
for cabin, I searched the net for some pilot boats and I got this
cabin
and finally
Excellent example of Desi Jugaad.
Congrats.
Especially liked rudder drive (but was it necessary?)
Very good job. Nice looking.
I didn't get one thing how come you attach an hobby grade servo on a cheap toy grade rc car.
very good build deschristopher {:)} {:)}

Nice build Chris. BTW I am trying to convince Krishna (formerly Roopesh) to return to the forum. We all could benefit and learn from her marvellous wisdom and knowledge. I have given my personal assurance there will be no persecution
Really liked the pulleys on the rudder :salute: :salute:

I just made the servo work like a simple motor by disconnecting its chip and potentiometer.

yes, with this cheap 2ch transmitter it can only drive motor not servo, so I have to make the servo work like a geared motor. with pulley system
whatever I did is what I learned from the members this forum, Thank you guys...
Sir eagerly waiting for video...

Even I tried once but she did not come.
It is sad that we lost one very talented modeller. Sadly the forum does not have strict rules on what should NOT be written on the forum. Going through the last posts of this talented modeller makes one feel really sad.
Lets hope Krishna takes this as an apology from the Forum at large and returns
