Hello everyone,
Yesterday took some timeout n went shopping for indoor planes or helis and came across these micro cars ;D which i have been wanting for quite some time (:|~.
here is a small video to start with

what are they priced at?
one can get them from 300/- to 500/- max. depending on quality, make etc i got mine for 400/- each ( i don't know if i paid more but i think its worth the money and white car is on 27mhz band black car on 49mhz :)
more
and more
done. The cars are pretty hard to control but once a rhythm is established its easy to play around (specially on marble or tile surfaces) 8-)
alright time for the review, lets start with the case which holds transmitter, antenna in the back and the car in front screwed to the plastic emulating a show-case/stand with transparent cover over it. These are available in 8 models in various bands, this is a fully functional RC unit meaning (2 channel system) forward, backward, left n right turns and turbo controls with head and back lights on the car.
The transmitter is a normal unit seen in many radio controlled cars, this unit is powered by 4 AA pen cells, control buttons light up when pressed plus a charging cord (Nokia charger type pin connector) to be inserted into the car charger connector. One nice feature is the time taken to get a full charge which is under 5mins for fresh batteries to near 6-7min for worn out cells, the charge completion is indicated by a red led on the transmitter which goes out when the car is charged ;D
now coming to the car, this is one light weight piece weighing under 30-20grams with rechargeable batteries built in. The scale detailing is okay, car has charge connector, on/off switch, steering wheel trimmer with front and back lights helps in night driving 8-).
advantages
1. all the bells n whistles can be neatly tucked into the plastic casing put it in the bag..........play in office.
2. needs only 4AA cells to get started and alkaline cells last up to 8 to 9 full charges.
3. can't think of much other advantaged accept for being a fully functional system, turbo control, lights add to realism and multi bands for interference free 2+ user's racing on the desk or may be mini drag racing :giggle:
4. the car being light weight is hard to break and thanks to its rubber side mirrors ;D.
5. run time is above 5mins in turbo mode and 8mins or more under normal use.
Disadvantages
1. Short range under 15feet.
2. hard to control on smooth surfaces and can't play on slight rough surfaces
3. if one has a dog or dogs and marble flooring stay away from this stuff as one will need to keep on cleaning the darn jammed wheel with hair >:(
hope you guys enjoyed the write up and if one comes across these cars its worth buying a pair :)
Bye
