You will get a good quality and used one for a good price. These who have shifted for 2.4g radio will have them up for sale.. Will let you know if anyone is selling.

Hey Divyam,
Ajo has hardly used his radio.. He switched to 2.4g long time back. His radio is in gr8 condition you should take a look at it.. Its worth buying it..

some rc cars come with 3 channel tx. what is the third channel used for?

For activating a servo for reverse, or lights or in case of the Traxxas Summit, locking the differential or using an engine kill switch.

for an electric rc? i understand that the esc is connected only to one channel for both fwd and reverse right?

Yes, thats right. Fwd and Reverse is taken care by the ESC and no need to change the direction of the transmission like in Nitro
