Hello there,
I am currently having a SST 1986 Nitro car 1:10. Its great and full of fun with power. I want to try to convert it to electric version.
Which brushless motors should i use and which ESC will i be needing to support that brushless motor? I have a flysky radio set. where shoul i attach my lipo. Help me to get clear idea of all these things.
As per my reasearch, I will need 540T brushless motors. But what rating of kv should i use and from which Indian online hobby store should i order it from!
Thanks!

Your Lipo will be connected to your ESC. The internal BEC on the ESC will power your receiver and servo.

Is there an electric conversion for your car?

540 class motors are common on 1:10 scale cars. The Kv rating depends on your gearing, battery that you plan to use, and the kind of running the car will see.

I don't really have suggestions for LHSs from where you can buy your power system.

Yes electric conversion is possible but rcbazaar is not providing its components. The ez-run brushless system from hobbywing is great pick. But not available in india.
Thanks though for sharing !

As far as I know, no LHS in India carries power systems for electric cars.

Good luck with the conversion and welcome to the electric side. :)

Yeah unfortunately not. Though jackshobbies stock 1:16 electric systems. Hope we grow more in this hobby so that LHS gets more Support in stocking items!

540 motor will support . You can connect ESC and servo to radio receiver. Battery selection depends on you ESC selection.
Like NI/Lipo/Life batteries . Commonly used are 2S lipo ie 7.4 Volt batteries.

So take care while considering battery and ESC which are compatible.  Servo and reciever  also must match this voltage range.   Separate battery pack can be feed to receiver but usually no one like to add more weight to the car.

ESC : ESC controls the throttle trigger to motor. Check the AMP rating which can handle maximum throttle or abuse moment.
Motor : Any 540 size motor will match the requirements. Brushed/Brush-less types exists. Brushless is maintenance free.   Also sensored/sensor-less version exists in brushless version.   Sensor-less have more precision in operation.  Depends on your budget and application select wisely
Servo: Lot of varieties exists. Go for metal version so that you can abuse it all ways. Check for voltage range. Also speed or torque demand.
For drift cars speed is better under {0.12Sec} although not necessary. Anything {torque}more than 2 Kg is fine.
For crawlers certainly torque matters. Check you application.

Receiver : Check you receiver which is compatible for EP cars.  Ex} Sanwa RX481 receivers are only for Electrica and not gas.
Radio: Dont worry any one works fine.

Order from www.hobbyking.com.  ESC and Servos are available at cheap cost. if you need any assistance, ask me. ||

Thanks lijochrn for spreading some light on those aspects. Really helpful. Yes 540T is my choice but nothing is available in Indian LHS. I don't know much about customs and shipping that will cost me other than the product itself from hobbyking. So a little hiccup in e shipping part is still there.

Sensor-less have more precision in operation.""" Sorry about that >>>>>sensored  motors have more precision...

Please check your IM.
