Interesting use of a template on the DX5e stick to make it look/work like a car transmission stick

And an even more interesting use of that book on Economics !  I would have done the same too to any book on economics ;D

Anwar, Is that possible to make template for RC planes/helis for some standard functions?

I am not aware of such use in the heli/plane world, except the use of a circular ring to reduce the amount of aileron/elevator throw for certain heli maneuvers.  But the same feature is now available on higher end radios via software (just search for "swash ring").

the dx5e comes with a servo high-low switch, so that ring wont be needed anyway, i guess.

The "swash ring" servos a different purpose than having dual rates, it prevents binding of controls on the extreme corners of stick positions in mode 2.  It is available only on the higher end radios, and it also helps do some maneuvers like piro flips easier when people are starting with such moves (these moves involves the constant "stirring" of the right stick in mode 2, and the radius of the stir determines the number of piros between when the heli flips between inverted and upright positions).

The red plastic ring on the right stick in the above link is what I am referring to. As you can see, the DX7 is much more feature rich than the DX5e, and it still needs a swash-ring (for people who want that functionality).  The "high-low switch" cannot provide it.
