Hi every one,
This is a great website first of all and thanks to the admin for helping beginners. {:)} {:)}
I just want a clarification on my batteries to be used in my cougar 3 channel remote which consumes 12 v and the receiver segment which is rated as 6 volts which powers three servos
1.turn control(metal geared)
2.throttle and brake
3.forward and reverse control
Here is my question, i want a solid run of my rc without any range problems due to power considerations. so should i buy rechargeable batteries in market and install them or buy Ni-Cd or Lipo batteries for better performance? plz specify about the chargers and ratings and performance if possible.
thanks mentors in advance. :hatsoff: :hatsoff:
You should be using Rx packs. Check out JRH. They should have Rx packs in stock.
Your Rx is not HV(High Voltage) capable. If you use a regulator to regulate the lipo's output to 6V, you can use that.
You can also use a 6.6V LiFe pack.
i use MiMH packs...
10 X AA batteries rechargeable, preferable every everyredy 2100mAh.............. which will give u 12V
and
5 X AA batteries rechargeable.. which will give u 6V
thank you AEROVISHWA and iamhuman, it would be nice if you specify what charger to be used there in each case. :):)
