 :headscratch:  Pretty confused in e-revo and HPI Savage.Both stand as wonder cars.which one would be suitable to start with.whats the use of relying on brushless motors in electric buggies.

drrajdeepbrar

Well it depends on watt u want to do with the vehicle. Race or bash the erevo Is good for both and the savage is good for bashing only, the savage is pretty much bulletproof and the erevo u need to upgrade to make it bulletproof.

Brushless motors give WAY more power than brushed motors.Just for an example,I have heard of tracks that allow traxxas velineon systems(brushless) to run on 50% power when competing with brushed cars with comparably sized motors.(so here,it means twice the power of comparable brushed systems).

The E-revo and the Savage Flux have the same motor(I assumed that it was the flux and not the nitro version because you compared it to the E-Revo).As drrajdeepbrar and arpit said,E-revo is  for racing and the Savage FLux is for bashing.Both of these are monster trucks which are like offroad monsters with quite a high ground clearance.Buggies are for pure racing.The sit lower to the ground and handle way better.

For pure electric racing, get a buggy like the RTR HPI Vorza. I liked the Vorza. Its fast and looks like it handles well. My ST-1 with same system couldnt keep up.

For bashing, get the Savage. Best option. For some racing and bashing, get the Erevo.

@gandhar

savage runs on a blur 2200kv with a programmed castle link.
E-revo runs on a CC's mamba monster maxx 2200kv

Although different make's but same have same specifications.

I agree with ajo, the vorza handles like a dream out of the box, we run the car with stock gearing and 2 x 2s lipos and can still take on all the competition. You dont need to upgrade it.

The savage flus is the toughest car you can buy, you will need race wheels and a few other mods before putting it on a track.

The erevo gives you prefect blend of bashing and racing, but its more focussed towards racing.

@Arpit:Both of them are CC2200 Kv systems with 2 diff names.And the blur has its own heatsink.

i dont think so dude, i am not 100% sure but still from what i know both motors have similar specs and from castles but are different products and marketed under different names to both HPI and Traxxas by Castles.
