hai, traxxax nitro sport is 2w i think.... what u guys think about the kyosho models mentioned above???

mail4ajo

I would say Kyosho DST. I have lots of personal experience with it. Easy to maintain and tune, fast and reliable. Spares easily available thru Harmony Models, HK. I can get most spares for you from HK.

HPI RS4 should be more expensive and Nitro sport is 2WD, but the RTR package is very nice for a begginer.

All based on your specific need. Savage is the best Monster truck on the planet for bashing, for racing its the Traxxas Revo. Revo is also the most complete RTR truck you can buy. For pure size and engine capacity and spares/service support in India, its the S50.

Decide based on your need. PM me for more info. I have bashed/raced the 3 mentioned cars.

My need is absolute for Loads of bashing & thrashing. Having said that it must be low on maintenance as spare time is always a concern. Thats why the confusion.

BTW: When you say "Revo is also the most complete RTR truck you can buy" what does that mean?

Read the PM part latter. Will do that the next time. Thanks

For pure Bashing and Thrashing, close your eyes and choose the Savage. Cars are not low maintainence. You cannot toss them after your done like you do with aircraft. Lots of work to keep them in ship shape. Lots of moving parts. More like Helis.

Guys, dont make such statements. TT is good for its price point. Every car has its issues. Savage is also not issue free. It comes with its own set of problems. I have owned several TT car including the S50, so I dont agree. For Bashing, its Savage.

I wanted to race, so shifted to Revo.

TTR not as bad as people think it 2 b
I'll be back.

Manav_Ahluwalia

Hi Arpit
What kind of issues did you face with the HPI Savage XL & what is not so good about the TT S50. Please ellaborate.

traxxrc1

Savage is the best for those who want power for doing all that crazy stuff(like me), but not that much good for on track racing like Mr. Ajo said. But that is definitely not a (-)ve.
one thing i didn't like very much is the 3mm chasis side mount plates, i upgraded them to 7mm side plates. Thats it. Everything is excellent
I'll be back.

traxxrc1

About the sledgehammer i cant comment because i dont have it, but used it for 2 weeks and it was fun. Has got great power and low end torque.
Quality a litle issue, parts break a little earlier than expected but not as many people think. I have seen people doing wheelies upto 100m and the car going well, people doing nice jumps about some 2-3m high and the cr dosen't breaks or faults even if it lands on its back.
build quality is incomparable to a savage but still i would say better than a kyosho or tamiya or redcat/vortex
I'll be back.

You are right Ajo... TT is not that bad.. But I said so coz Manav had asked for low maintance and TT will require more maintanence than others coz as traxxrc1 said the parts beak easily... TT is gud for the price (strictly considering the price) but if you have more budget defenitly go for HPI or Traxxas product.. They have better quality...

ThrottleRC

Folks,

I think it all depends on how deep the buyer's pocket goes.
Quality is a relative term.
And when you invest so much why not do it a better product though it costs a few bucks more?
