With the help & initiation by Mr. G.D. Rajkumar, we have organised for a general meeting among hobbyists to setup governing body for Rc car & activities in India. The meeting is confirmed on the 27th of August 2011 in Coimbatore. The time & venue will be informed shortly. All Rc car enthusiasts are welcome. Teams from various parts of the country have confirmed their participation. We will discuss on all the key points to setup up a democratic body. Please feel free to join us.

Let us unite and setup this governing body for the wellness and fair RC practices in India. Lets make sure our current generation and future generation will benefit by these efforts taken by us.

Please find a proper name for this authority as well, kind of some eye catchy and related name (in abbv.) something like-

IFMAR (International Federation of Model Auto Racing)
ROAR (Remotely Operated Auto Racers)

This governing body is setup by the Hobbyist, for the Hobbyist and to the hobby..I guess the name will be selected by voting method since it is a going to be a democratic body..

Agenda:

1)To select an appropriate name or shortlist names for the national governing body
2)To Decide on the number of members going to be sitting in the executive committee of the Governing body
3)Based on point number 2 to decide whether every city club has rights to have an elected representative in the executive committee
4)To decide how many posts governing body should have
For eg 1)president,
2)vicepresident
3)secretary
4)Treasurer
5)Based on point 4 To decide method of electing president, vicepresident and secretary (will the governing council elect the people for these posts or will all the members elect people for these posts)
6)To decide the period of each elected term
7)To decide on eligibility criteria for holding posts in governing council and to get elected to executive committee based on point 2and 3
8)To fix an annual fee to become a member of the national body
9)To decide the location of the national body
10)To debate on functions of executive commitee
For eg:1)To form technical regulations for all classes of cars
2)To form regulations of how a national event should be conducted
3)To form regulations for the basic requirments needed by an event organiser to conduct a
a national event
4)To decide on prize money and participation fees for national events
5)To lay down rules of basic conduct among members and brand representatives
11)To decide whether all national championship rounds can be handed over to a single organisation (National event conducting body )or whether certain rounds can be also conducted by local clubs
12)Venue and date for next meeting to form governing body to be decided
13)Who will take the lead to register the national body getit approved by femca and by the sports ministry

During the first meeting we shall arrange for a computer with lcd screen to minute all points discussed.

Please note anyone interested to take part in this meeting should pay registration fee of Rs 500 which includes cocktails and dinner

We shall send a registration form to all of you we request you to forward the same to all interested members and request them to fill the same and send it to us before 15th aug so we will know how many members are taking part in this meeting payment can be made on arrival before meeting

We plan to start the meeting at 6.30 pm on 27th and end at 8.30 pm

Tentatively Proposed guidelines for national body

Members of National Body
1)Any person interested in rc car racing can become a member of national body
2) National body could have an executive committee the members of the executive committee will be nominated by each city club .Each club can nominate 1 member or 2 members to the executive committee
3)This committee could elect a president ,vice president and a secretary once in 2 years .
4)National body would have an event supervising committee comprising of clerk of the course&deputy clerk of the course for each event and there will be a third deputy clerk of the course from the local club or event conducting body
5)National body would have technical committee comprising of chief scrutineer and deputy scrutineer and a third deputy scrutineer from local club organising the event or national event organising body

6)The executive committee ,the president & vice president could elect 2 members for each of these sub committee from each city club for the period of 2 years the names of these members should be suggested by the local club based on the knowledge and experience of the person to fit either of the subcommitees.National event conducting body should also nominate 2 members for both subcommitees for each event in consideration with point 7&8
7)The members of both the subcommittees should not be a representative of any brand in india nor he should have any indirect interest in selling any brands in india
8)The members of both subcommittees from a particular city can execute their dutys only in events conducted in other citys .except in case of third deputy clerk of the course and third deputy scrutineer if the event is conducted by the local club
9)The executive committee can nominate the subcommittee members if they feel that the person suggested by each club has enough knowledge and if there is no violation of point nr 7 at the beginning of each 2 year period
10)For each event during the 2 year period based on a list which has been approved by the executive commitee as per point nr 9 the committee members for each specific event can be selected from the list as long as they do not reside in the host city where the event is being conducted.

11)The subcommittees should strictly follow the guidelines laid out jointly by the national governing body for the national championship and ensure that the event is conducted fairly by the national event conducting body
12)The subcommittees should strictly follow the guidelines laid out jointly by national governing body and international body for an international championship conducted in india and ensure that the event is conducted fairly .Who wll conduct such international events has to be discussed
13)The decision made by the majority among the subcommittee members will be final in the way the event has to be conducted and the declaration of results of each event.
