Title: HB P1801 1:18 Toy Grade Rc Crawler - fpv'd
Post by: sim_tcr on January 26, 2019, 12:47:46 PM

I have a toy grade rc crawler (https://amzn.to/2ThoSDK) from amazon which I bought for some 700rs 1 year back.
It was not proportional steering or throttle and it came with 4.8v battery pack. Very less run time.

Added a cheap brushed ESC (from BG) and servo(towerpro standard) to make both steering and throttle proportional. Also replaced battery pack with 2s (DIY 2 x 3.7 Li-ion (from old tablet)).
It is much fun to drive now.

Included FPV gear and its perfect indoor crawler!

Note: In real video is better. Its bad in recording as its done using eachine rotg01 VRX and go fpv app. Planning to buy eachine DVR and add it to goggles.

WOW. How did you add the ESC without changing the receiver/transmitter?
