@Divay: Thanks buddy, I already know him. But, he says that his technical assistant will come and analyze and then, let me know the charges of assembling that part.

I am sorry to say that few people instead of helping a fellow aeromodeller leave no opportunity in making a business out of it. In 2009 when i started wid helis it wasnt like this. Still, lots of good people around in Rcindia for sure. Anyways, this is my personal opinion.

@Mrfixit: Thanks bro. The part as per your catalogue that i am not being able to assemble is 86092. One end of it goes into the gear box. This end has a bevelled or a cut where a bobbin like thing goes. How do i assemble this? Do we need to open up the gear box?

Hi

the part 86092 is a set of one piston and one cam....the long one you see in the parts diagram I sent earlier is the cam and there is one  piston as well which you can see in the same diagram below the exploded gear box it is shown as a part of disk brake assembly. I am also enclosing another diagram which shows the location of the piston. I dont think one needs to open the gear box to install this but you will have to have the cam also which ultimately pressed the disks....I hope you have both the parts....feel free to ask anything if I can help...

this is how it can be done;

The break arm should be held in place in the transmission by the brake cam (the round brass bushing) which is held in place by the brake pads. Remove the pads, push brake arm full into the transmission, place the cam in its slot. Checkk to make sure the arm cannot be pulled out and twisting the arm will move the cam in and out, then replace the pads.

also attached is a picture of cam and piston..

I understand your frustration on this. But you must understand that they are hobby distributors and is a business. They will charge for the time and effort. Part of this hobby is to learn how to do stuff on your own either via videos or forums.

I recommend is if you want the stuff to be done at no cost, please visit forums like rctech, savage central and other MT forums or watch youtube videos. Or let the mechanics handle it at a cost.

I may have sound frustrated via my post but im not. I dont miss drivin a savage as helis are the one which give me a kick. I just wanted that it should be in a running condition again.

Yeah, you are right. Its a business for the hobby distributors so they will charge. Its just that i didnt get accustomed to this practice. We at our field have been helping aeromodellers without charging.

Thanks, will definitely check n post on the forums u mentioned.
