Hello everyone,
I'm upgrading my 1:8 scale nitro buggy for better performance and while selecting servo for my steering and throttle came across this major companies.
Hence need some expert advice on which servo to move on .
Hitec, savox, ace or futaba.?
Going through some international forums came across Hitec to be preferred but are costlier than savox
What about ace servos as compared with savox and Hitec?
Compared with torque ace RC 1015 is having less torque but yet is recommended , whereas savox and Hitec are having much greater torque even these are recommended. So basically is torque the judging factor or something else.?
No limits on budget need high speed and high torque servo, which one u all recommend .??
Hitec, savox or ace .?

Hitec has a good range of servos. They go from catering to the high end hobbyist to the one on a budget. With Savox coming in, Hitec wouldn't make a lot of sense unless you're getting a good deal.

ACE RC's DS1015 is a highly recommended servo and many people use it and love it.

Savox caters to the hobbyist on a budget and gives you good servos for the price. The pricing at RC Bazaar is unbeatable. They do have a reputation for being noisy and consume loads of power. If you're running with a LiFe or lipo Rx pack, it should be no problem.

Will you be running off an NiMH pack or a lipo or LiFe or lipo with regulator? If your receiver can handle it, go for a high voltage servo from Savox. If not, try getting a LiFe(if you don't use one already) and go with a standard servo.

What's your budget?

I will be using lipo if servo has such requirement.. I don't know whether my rx can handle lipo of 2S 7.4v
I use a basic ace RC transmitter and rx.

Waiting for rcbazzar order of savox, thinking on to go for high voltage servo.. For both throttle and steering. 1267

Your rx won't take a lipo straight in.

If you're sticking to your tx and rx for a while, get a LiFe. 1258tg for throttle, 1256 for steering. You can get the 1267 but it won't run at full strength.

You'll need a regulator ( aka external bec)

Any idea about radio post servos .???

iamahuman

Supposed to be one of the best you can buy.

A while ago, they were out of stock everywhere.

If your budget allows, go RadioPost. You can't go wrong with Ko Propo either.

I believe ARE Hobbies India stock RadioPost servos. Since all are HV servos, you'll get the best performance at 7.4V.
