Dear All, I have unfortunately/fortunately purchased a HPI RTR Wheely KING  (electronic version). After opening the box I did the following things:
As advised in the manual i charged the battery for the mentioned time (6 hours) after which i put in brand new AA batteries in the radio and took out the wheely king with my 3 year old son to show him how the car would ride bumps etc. After turning on the radio and the receiver the green led glowed and i tried moving the wheels left and right, wheels moved to a small extent, i pointed the wheel in the right direction by using the st trim. when i gave some throttle the vehicle did not move, i tried reversing the radio but was met with the similar result wherein only the wheels turned (partially) but the car did not move. Assuming the charging had not been completed i put it on charge for 6 hours again after which i tried to run the car but was met with the same result. The car did not move at all even though the steering was turning and the green LED switch was on. Kindly advise, i have tried putting in another set of new batteries in the radio without the desired result.
I have also written to HPI-India but they have not been supportive and neither have they responded to my queries, as the battery pack etc are under warranty according to the HPI booklet.  :argue: :argue:

Premvijay - you are having really bad luck ..

lift it up ( with your hand) and give it throttle (while in your hand )- do the wheels spin or not ?

also -what's happened to your glow powered vehicle ?

did you manage to sort it out ?

Looks like you should start by checking the output voltage of your battery, against its own specs.

BTW, you should realize that a battery that specs out at say 7.4volts will have something like 8.2v or even up close to 9v when fully charged (depending on cell chemistry).

Did you get the car from HPI India? If yes, we can get them to respond.

If your wheels are spinning as usual and the issue is only with the steering radius, you can adjust them on the radio. Its called steering dual rate.

Yes i di get the truck from HPI-India and i have written to them three times but have not received reply from either one Mr.Manoj and Mr. Rohan, if you guys could help me in getting a reply from them it would be wonderfull.thanks

Siddharth

@premvijay: Try the D/R knob on the TX, make it full, you should be able to turn the wheels completely. Another issue could be that the battery pack has false peaked. It does happen the first few times of battery use. Try cycling the battery pack a couple of times to get full power out of it.

Electronics from HPI are covered under warranty, but i dont think the battery pack and charger are. If you have any more problems please let me know.
