Title: its my TRUCKZEE..the off road racer truck..
Post by: roopeshkrishna on April 11, 2012, 11:57:12 AM
Friends..Colleagues.. Modellers.. this one is my new off road race truck, made, because of a challenge, from a person, who is a friend of my Colleague, claiming as a Mechanical engineer, working abroad, as he said us, it is impossible to make a race truck from scraps and paper.. its a nice challenge.. and i wonder from about his comments, that as "impossible", why i do not know..!! and later he was un able to answer my simple questions like, what is Engineering, and who is an Engineer..!! anyhow this gave me good truck, that i am suffering from a severe back pain..
here i thanks to some of my Friends, especially, to Ashraf, and selvan for scrapped and damaged toy parts.. and most of the scrapped toy parts are collected from nearest town, by weight.. if we ask for the price, to a specific part, the scrap sellers asks a lots money for it.. so, i always goes there with a torn out dhoti, with a torn out t shirt, with a sack in hand.. as ugly scrap collector.. say nothing but collect all needed parts and put it is sack.. weigh it.. take it as 3 Rs/- for a Kilogram.. so happy..

i am sharing all here not to show what that i can do, but instead to show you all how easy to make an excellent craft with stunning performance.. a craft in this scale will took about around 30,000 Rs/- even without a radio.. but here i spent about 200 Rs/- for finishing it with painting..
so, you can see how simple it all.. i clearly know, many of us lullabies in mind about a craft like this, but stays away from this because of the extreme cost.. but if you have a little time with a little interest, you can make your own within a short time.. i took about 4 hours of time to complete this craft, including electronics.. that even with my back pain.. so, its so easy..

this craft employes many goodies..
1) real engine noise, including self strat sound, and it is synchronized with ESC for throttling and idling..
2) a heavy horn notes..
3) lighting..
4) full multi mode traction control and braking..
5) all are hand built, including ESC..
6) working wind shield wiper..

here starts.. once again.. my postings and efforts are not to show for anything, but to show you all an easy way to make a dreamy craft our own.. with ease..
here i starts with 4 scrapped wheels.. the wheels are in big dia, and too soft for an off road race vehicle..i havent used any suspension here as well as any differentials.. so, please do not think and waste time to collect and buy to these stuffs.. we no need it all..
you can see the scrapped toy..
and 4 identical wheels..

thank you Jay..
she is powered by a converted radio, my faourite Futaba 4YF , is in to 7 channel, and works fine..the wiper was added to a potentiometer, on TX to control the arm speed at action.. the second potentio meter is added to traction control, sensitivity.. so, can drive even on marbles and gravel as same..

in action..

You might wanna try a better motor and a speed controller, but looks killer man.
BTW whats the name of that orange paint? Is it durable or it gets flickered off after some time?
Title: Re: its my TRUCKZEE..the off road racer truck..
Post by: roopeshkrishna on April 11, 2012, 01:05:41 PM
Trax..you are wrong..the motor is reworked for three times as to get a proper traction point.. in reality this motor came from a scraped helicopter..then i reworked to my specs.. and no need to change the ESC, as it is based on traction control.. this prevents wheel slippage all the time, and now simply it is working on a 7.2 volt battery, and is designed to work on 12 volts.. i am shhoting all videos in a slow manner as i am alone, and cant move faster with my freezing back pain.. so, will add a high speed video, when i get some one with me.. she is so powerful that she can jump a ramp easily.. the all shot videos are with less than 50 % throttle.. and blipping closed ..
