Hello everyone.
I am trying to build jeep scale model. CJ4A.
Thought I would share some pics
It is yet to be painted, please suggest me the color that you have in mind.
Nice work,
I am a huge fan of jeep,
As per its real use i may suggest a Dark military green and black in interior area
@swapnilnimbalkar,
Sir,
I find your work fascinating.
May I make a few suggestions?
- shape of bonnet correct?
- rubber bumpers on top of bonnet need to be thinner?
- left and right seats usually of different widths in Jeeps?
- petrol filler cap?
- gun bracket on windshield frame?
- wheels and tyres need to be more traditional?
Making these suggestions as i admire your work. Hope you don't mind.
Looking forward to the day you start using balsa...
Regards.
Thank you so much for detailed observation.
I'll try to make the changes suggested by you.
I'm from thane. I'll try to find balsa near me.
Swapnil N.
Hi swapnilnimbalkar,
You can look for balsa sheets and foam board in Itsy Bitsy (hobby shop) in Phoenix MarketCity Kurla

Yes sure, thank you.

@shantanuborate,
Just wonderful!
Shows that balsa is not really essential to get clear edges and smooth corners.
Just that balsa is such a pleasure to work with...
Your workmanship is already great. I think your painting finishing will be equally good.
Only the snow may be hard to arrange ;D
And you have to tell us whether the metal parts are readymade or you made them too.
Regards

Actually there are no metal parts.
Here is the rear side, made with electric wire.
