read ur esc manual first, try troubleshoot

Make sure your ESC is on channel 2 and your servo is on channel 1.

If possible, power the Rx up with a receiver pack and re-bind your system.

Check the output of the BEC on the ESC's leads with a multimeter.

@tricity
Tried everything from the manual, nothing helped.
The ESC cooling fan isn't working and it gets heated up like crazy.I even get a burning smell from the ESC.

All the connections are fine.
I have 5v reading across the ESC leads. ???.....THe batteries were fully charged.
Did i burn my BEC?

Sounds like your Rx is toast.

Change it out first and try again. There's no reason the ESC fan should get hot. A burning smell is always a bad thing.

It's pretty hard to do so with Deans plugs but did you connect the batteries backwards by any chance?

The BEC should be putting out 6V or 5.75V. I doubt it's the BEC though. If an Rx pack isn't powering the Rx up, I'd say the Rx is dead. Likelihood is that you got a lemon.

@ iamhanuman
i meant the ESC was getting heated up.
Tried with a different Rx,thank goodness the motor/ESC are just fine.
But both the servo and RX are completely fried.
So much for connecting lighting system to AUX channel, have no idea where i went wrong!

Were all the connectors hooked up with the right polarity?

If so, you certainly got a dud.
