Great Move from HPI to make it completely ready to run. They have finally decided to go the Traxxas way.

One of the best monster trucks just got better with these upgrades. What the hell were they thinking with the radio. looks like a cheap chinese radio.

No, its like DX3S. Even has a antenna at the front rather than mid

I prefer the older radio design.. This one looks kinda tacky and gimmicky imho.. I guess they just changed the looks for the transmitter cause the older one is also 2.4Ghz..

Nah I wasn't reflecting on your comment in any way. I was just saying cause you're post invited our take on HPI's decision I like the handle as its helps in carrying the transmitter. The main gripe I have with my transmitter is that it doesn't have a lanyard ring/hole.. But the steering looks funny on this new one don't you think?

Higher models come with H.O. transmitters.
What i meant is that only the transmitter wheel is similar rest is different.

Antenna and the top flat design is like the Spektrums dx3s. just remove the handle

But stil it maintains highest similarity with Sanwa m11

Its just personal preference i guess. Never liked the design of Sanwa M11x anyway. But this model is definately going to do well because of the upgrades and the fact that its truly RTR now.

The radio reminds me of the Sanwa MT4 and the M11.For some reason(I think its the SSR system),all the pro racers prefer the M11x but it looks VERY bulky.I would prefer the futaba 4-PKS(If I had the money).


Looks good overall and yeah,it looks like a cheap knockoff of the MT4 and M11.

Somehow the M11 has a heavy solid look. I don't know how to explain it. Could be the matte finish or the understated colours. The new savage tx looks light and tacky to me. Again dunno how to explain it

It resembles the MT-4 more.

lets see. they put the k series motor. the issue with this motor is that it provides more or less the same power but at a higher rpm... what the point of that?

Its the same F4.6 engine as what is i your savage. Only difference is ithat the engine head now has a different colour
