Good i didnt go to the track.

Went to the ground today - was empty as expected.
In 2 mins of running i realized that the motor screw was out - the one i made up!!!!
Searched around and found it wedged between the A-arm and the body!!!!! What luck!!

No more running till i get thread lock! None of the hardware stores near house has it

Gave it a good cleanup - squeeky clean now

Using lube on the spur was a big mistake. It started to accumulate small tiny stones. Would have been a disaster for the spur - and since i sealed the spurr opening on the chassis the stones couldnt get out!

The opening for the spur is a good thing - keeps the dirt out and stops it from accumulating near the spur. Will have to thing of some other way to keep the dirt out.

Opps i'm stupid  i always thought hobbyking ships from US hehe. It'll still be checked by customs right and you've to pay 13.xx% as customs on personal goods if i'm not wrong

I doubt a lipo will attract customs.But it might happen.

Go for the batteries. i am currently using 2 of them in my Maxx and they are very good. the casing is good too.

But a small piece of advice. decide what type of connector u wanna use. i soldered Traxxas connectors on mine and it was not an easy job.

But the batteries are completely worth it.

Any connector to any; you can get from Anam in a reasonable price.

Are the plugs hard to solder on because of the 8 gauge wire?

yep. too thick. had to take a slightly thinner wire. soldered both and then soldered connectors to the thinner wire.

@shashank: coustoms wont do anything for small parcels via registered air-mail. The will check ALL EMS and rather large air-mail parcels. I have ordered 500gm packages from HK without trouble so the battery in a small package wont be trouble.

wtr connectors RcHobbyAddict has those connectors. Will need both tamiya and 5.5mm bullet. But i prefer 4mm bullet as it comes with the casing. Confused.
Was planning to retain the tamiya on ECS, get a tamiya to 5.5mm bullet connctor from RC-HA but tamiya does not show among the options on the website.  

@ajit : The +ve terminal has a male 5.5mm bullet or is it the other way around?

first of all i would not suggest tamiya connectors for Lipos. better to just solder something else. either Deans or Traxxas. and as for the connector, i dont remember. just cut them out as soon as i got them. let me see if i have any old pics of them.

That's good to hear ! if i ever get an electric (no one's in the mood to sell) i know where to go for my lipo's

Rajath, Please switch to any connectors as soon as possible.. Tamiya connectors are HORRIBLE for high voltage usage..
I tried using Tamiya with LiPo once, ended up destroying the battery.. And ESC..

Agree with everyone who says Tamiya plugs are junk.Switch over.And I think all batteries come with female connectors.

All the batteries comes with female connectors or the terminals insulated because of safety reason.

@Divyam : thanks for that. No tamiya.

@others:I will change the connectors. Im not comfortable with the thought oh having 5.5mm bullets as there is a possibility for wrong polarity connection. Will mostly shift to 4mm bullets with the plastic casing.

@ajit : Is it ok to solder connectors to lipo directly? Wont the soldering heat transfer to the lipo cell and cause problems.
