The screw i made keeps coming out. Its not a perfect fit Need to search in hardware stores.

UPDATE:

The screw i used earlier failed miserably! This was because the dia was slightly more and was'nt fitting well - it shredded the thread inside. Luckily there were 4 holes on the motor for two screws.
So now i have used a different screw - from a car accessories store, the screw used to hold the LCD on the dash. Fits perfectly.
Not able to get blue locktit anythere!

Tried all the oils at the shop. Used 140 oil today. The piston does not move at all! its like concrete   So the best bet is 90 oil.

Lipo is here 5000mah 30-40C Turnigy hard-case ppack.

Finding it hard to place it in the battery bay -  it fits fine but removing and fitting it back is not very easy. Have to come up with something

Lipo power is yet to be experienced Need to change connectors. Just to clarify -  the lipo came with 1 male and 1 female 5.5mm connector. I dont want to solder directly onto the lipo wire so will make a 5.5mm to deans connector for Lipo. Tamiya to dean connector for Nimh. And change the Tamiya to dean on ESC.

Male for ESC and female for battery.

I want to buy suspension oil - my search for oil has reached a dead end. The oils work well for first few times but then lose their viscosity.
The manual says stock oil is 500wt.
The RDC site has GS oils in 250cps , 300cps , 350cps , 400cps .

So which one will be equivalent to 500wt? 

Ok, 250cst is more than enough for a sparrow since i have one and know about it after a lot of experiments.
500 is ok for medium bash and race.
1000 cst is good only for bash hardcore.
My personal recommendation is go for a tornado instead of a GS or blabla...

Where can i get tornado or other brands of shock oil in india?

Correction the manual says stock oil is #500. I'm guessing that's 500cps oil

ill go off topic, but what shock oil can we use on the savage?? and where can i get it? i managed a leak and need to fill oil.

As far is i know only JRH and RCD stock oils.

For savage i read that stock is 30wt and many prefer changing to 40wt for better damping.
40wt is 500cps
35wt is 450cps
30wt is 350cps

Im wondering if i should use the in these shocks or source aluminium shocks first and then use the oil.
The shocks work fine now - no leak for a while an damping is alright but they are hopeless when it comes to realiability. (has local auto repair shop oil in it)
Traxxas big-bore shocks and losi shocks are used as replacement by many for the xxt. The TRX ulrta shocks on divyams slash looked massive though - wonder how they use it as a replacement for the xxt shocks!

ehh.....traxxas big bores aren't true big bores.They just have TiN coated shafts.Our ultra shocks look huge compared to your xxt's shocks?Wait till you see 1/8 buggy big bore shocks. Our ultra shocks are pretty reliable after upgrading them with TiN coated shafts and Al caps.Not that the stockers are bad but the upgraded ones work quite well.

Modelart had silicon oil. The guys cant differentiate between a shock and differential oil. So ensure you get the right thing. Use only silicon oil for shocks/diffs. Anything else may not work. I dont want to experiment on these things.

Yeah they didnt understand when i said "thats diff oil".
The problem is the shocks leak too much. I want to use the oil with shocks which do not leak. As of now im running pretty slow only on tarmac to avoid damage.
Will not run till i get Lock-tit.

Rajat,wanna upgrade to traxxas ultra shocks then?You might get a deal on my shocks.Not sure if I want to sell mine but if I do,I would like to sell them to you.I will upgrade to 8ight shocks afterwards .All this is assuming my dad gets me the 8ights and you want to buy my ultra shocks
