Post by: yashootipoo on January 30, 2013, 07:56:12 PM
Hey guys !! . My name is Yashwin . I'm from Coimbatore , Tamil Nadu . Well me and 4 of my friends have decided to get into Rc Racing and we are in a dilemma on whether to get a used Rc car and race around with it or get a Nitro Rc kit and start from scratch . What would you guys advice ??? . Also it would be really helpful if anyone could suggest a few Rc stores in or around Coimbatore . I already checked out Viper hobbies ( called up the number ) but I could'nt get in contact with the owner . So hope you guys can help me and my friends out some how . :)

Well it depends on what you want and how much you are willing to spend. A second hand will cost less while a kit will cost more. If you are interested in putting things together yourself and are performance oriented a kit is the way to go since you can choose the engine etc. :)

Are you a beginner?
See cost wise: used car<new car<kit
So If you are a beginner go for a race oriented RTR that falls in your budget. I am personally wary of used cars.
Then you have to decide whether you want to go for buggy or truggy. Both have different feel.

This site offers Ofna/Hong nor/Jammin race oriented buggies & truggies:

All this is for 1/8 scale vehicles which are the real deal.
