can a rc plane esc (brushless esc like avionic 20A from RCBAZAAR) be used on 1/16 scale rc car..... ???
i mean the car is equipped with brushless motor , but esc is damaged :banghead:, so can i use rc plane esc for the rc car.....?? :help:
plz reply.
Nope ...if yu try it will eventualyl heat up and get damaged within seconds..
esc of the rc car is normally around 120 AMPS (average) vary from scale to scale and motor size to motor size
Hpi camaro drift which i have has 120 amps esc with cooling tower
then can we use 120a plane esc on cars
as far as the amps drown by the motor is below esc's ratting , it should not burn up.
only thing im worried abt is the timming and reverse of throttle.
dont know if plane esc (brushless) support reversing , with throttle stick at centre as neutral.
Aircraft ESCs are NOT made to be used on cars.
@shadowsfromthemist: 120A ESCs are commonly seem on high performance cars and are not needed on smaller vehicles.
@iamahuman yes indeed your right...depending upon the scale of the model esc specs vary as motor specs would vary
I've made an adapter that let's you use unidirectional ESCs such as aeroplane ESC with pistol-grip/surface radios, if you need-- http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-AESC-adapter/ (http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-AESC-adapter/)
