All respected Modellers.. once again.. how much that we have to pay for a nice land based RC vehicle with full functions..? yes about 25 to 35 thousands..so, how can an average modeller can afford it all..? so sad..so all we stays away from RCying..and thinks about it in vain.. but is that true..? for a high performed vehicle..? never.. we can make any of the RC vehicles that of our needs.. that for we need only some handy things around us..
when i was a boy, some of my favourite vehicles were, Papa's Mercedes, Fiat, and yes the soft top Willys jeep.. yes, even today the memmory still inspires me.. and after some hard work, i found lots of wheels and gear boxes around me.. and a picture saw in Net ignited my inspiration to a great extent.. so i made this Jeep wrangler.. named as SANDEE.. yes because, this one is actually intented to run in beaches..in sand..
here i used nothing as i clearly know, that we do not need any extreme stuffs for an RC vehicle.. the final drive train is a mere toy gear box, one withholds a reworked motor.. and theres no differentials.. and suspensions.. but she will run like a rocket.. in any terrain.. so, dont be stay away from making one.. need only some plastic gear box, two servos, and some scraped toy wheels.. result.. amazing RCying experience for hours.. here the motor was reworked for 6 volts and for torque.. so i reworked it with 35 SWG in to 4 strands.. so, at 7 volts the nature of the motor changes to a roaring lion.. and the traction control allows me to drive this lovely craft even on marbles.. all electronics are hand made except the RX.. i used a HK 4 here and converted in to 5, to shift the traction control.. total battery assy is 7.4 LiPoly in to 2200 mA/H.. with about the time of 40 minutes.. at high drift speeds..
so, i started from toy gear box, and a toy steering mechanism..
can see the simple steering mechanism.. the entire chassis is built with stiff foam boards..
when formed the chassis became a rock solid stuff.. can jump.. thud.. anything..
adding the steering servo..
i finished her in to burning red.. of PU.. started painting.. at first discs..
now chassis is tested.. and started body work.. i scaled it down from actual drawings.. and whole body is by paper later water proofed..
whole body panels are in exact scale and with paper.. but i avoided round edges as i do not like it..
progress..
nearing compleation.. and finished it as open top..
body in detail.. look how easy it all.. make one..
with figure.. i scaled the craft almost for this figure available.. so stunning..
each and every thing is by paper and foam board..
water proofing and stiffening..
added a base coat is a must for flamboyant paints.. as silver..
now under paint..
its too flamboyant.. hard to photograph even with filter..
now added stickers..
head lights were made of ordinary torch bulbs..
it adds more realism..
now time of actions...
more finished photographs...
athor angles.. see how easy that to make a stunning craft.. make it and RCyit.. action video follows.. it is not possible to up load from my slow connection.,. will add from outside..
here we do not need any much expensive items to make a craft.. some creative thinking.. have a craft.. performs nicely.. and i spend about 200 Rs here to finish this one.. and mostly on the paint.. paint alone costs about 120 Rs..and 30 Rs for clear coat.. see how simple.. make one and Rcyit all the while... have nice wrooooms...

Excellent work sir :hatsoff: {:)} :salute:
Excellent job.
I found you work inspirational and hence keen to ask you one thing.
Did you ever try to convert Maisto jeep wrangler or Bburago Jeep wrangler to RC.
I have this plan working on back of my head but I'm confused and would like a recommendation on the same.
Also I look to use HSP 1:18 rock crawler parts to make it 4wd.
Regards,
Girish
you are realy great..keep it up
I am usually not a great fan of scale models. But this is great. Nice finish considering it was done from scratch.
