Looks like these guys are never resting. Now they have short course trucks too (like the Traxxas Slash, HPI Blitz etc).

Did I spend too much on the Slash ? ;)

But there are no surface radios ? Or did I miss them ?
You made the perfect choice by going for the slash Anwar sir. These will not last very long.THe slash 2wd is said to be bombproof.(more like crazy kid resistant')
This is the cheapest BL 4x4 you can get, but the electronics are poor. 35A esc seems insufficient. Also i expect the gears to be all nylon ones though i m not sure for it.
This thing is nice for its price but wont last long.
Your traxxas slash is a perfect masterpiece.

Sorry, the gears are probably metal with twin diff's
BTW high torque servo is nice thing that you usually dont expect in something below $300
Wow, the LiPo is a hardcase one, pretty small though but still good
BTW

Have a look at this, HK stock almost all parts of their 1/16 beetle truck. I havent seen a site stocking so many spares!!!!
You havent gone wrong with the Slash, Anwar. Price alone doesnt mean anything. What about spares and company support? These knockoffs dont last long.
Slash started it all. But many products have be successful like the Jammin SCRT, Associated SC10 which are more inclined towards racers.
Since the SC class is becoming big in India, I am planning for a SC too. It will be the SC8e.
if your looking for something really solid from hk check this out

Yea.. And a "solid" budget too!! At 11.32Kgs the shipping itself is gonna cost a bomb...

Thats a Losi LST, HK has nothing to do with it apart from selling it. An outdated product.
I dont mind paying 150$ for the SC with shipping. Anything above that is a waste.
Ajo would you buy this or buy a TT ST2 electric? Just asking.
I had an upgraded version of LST2 called LST XXL with a spectrum dx3s.
BTW HK dosent ships this truck to india.....:)
@Ajo:With your SC8e,youa re going to kill everyone in the sc class.Your only competitor will be guy with the Jammin SCRT(totally modded)or a guy with the new SCT from Team Durango.
This SCT looks fine. But as Ajo said, they won't last long.

Its more on the driver. I wanted to consider the SC8e because it based off the RC8T truggy. It has 3 diffs and will be easier to drive. Also its 1/8, so more reliable and tougher. Plus I can share spares with my current and upcoming Associated models.
The SCRT is already in India. Durango is coming shortly.
When is Durango coming and with whom will it be?
The SC8e is an awesome piece of work. But the best in the series seems to be the RC8b.
@ajo.
What is centre diff used for..?
i had a tomahawk which stated that a 3rd diff is optional. whats it?

3 diffs is AWD and 2 diffs is 4WD. Center diff allow equal distribution of power that makes it easier to handle the car.
Reason you see Buggies/Truggies easier to handle compared to a Monster truck.

I dont have much hopes on Durango, because the cost is a major factor. Not many people have seen or heard about it in India. I saw the buggy first hand and I must say, its build is phenomenal.
But how does the center diff compensate for impact protection compared to the slipper?
@abovethelimit:What power system will you get?without a CC2200kv(or 2650 kv)(or equivalent power system) you stand no chance.
