Hi All,

my friend Kunal is now making some very nice and practical carry cases for RC Cars with slots for items like the Radio, fuel bottle, tools and parts. He will have them for sale soon at very reasonable prices and shipping across India. These are made from very good material and proudly made right here in India. I will post pictures and prices soon. The cases will be available for all sizes of RC cars from 1/18 to 1/5 scales. Watch this space

This is good news, the ones you can buy now are really expensive, but good quality. Venom has a 1/8 scale one for about 8K. Any info on the features? A roller type will be great to move around with.

Zipper, any update on this?

I have asked Kunal to join this forum and share pictures with us.

kk_flyin

hi all...
my first post to the forum...

sorry for the delayed reply... i am bookmarked to reply but then it totally slipped my mind...

i'll email d photos to zipper to post it since i am not familiar with the procedure...

otherwise.. let me brief everyone bout it...

I have a bag manufacturing factory in NOIDA... thought I might be able sell some bags in this line.. will start with a couple of designs which shall fit maximum models.. so i need input from people as to which size/style should be best for it...

i dont mind doing heli's as well if a lot of people need it.. 1st requirement is tht i should have a good amount of quantity for me to give it my time n effort...

i hope to hear from everyone here soon..

Welcome to RC India !

Please note that anything in RC area will be somewhat limited in terms of quantities, as the hobby is only beginning to catch on in India.

But if the product is interesting, you can always tie up with stores outside India also (assuming you have the ability to ship outside).  The US is a significant market !  I can put you in touch with some hobby stores in Qatar and Dubai, as a start.

It is great to see such a product coming up.

Kunal, welcome to the forum. Its great effort from you to utilize your spare capacity for an offbeat market. As far as I know no one manufacturers these type of bags in India.

For cars, I would suggest you start with bags for 1/8 scales. They can be upto 620mm long and 450mm wide and weigh close to 6 kgs. I guess that will hold most 1/8 and 1/10 scales. We also need to have compartments to keep basic tools, chargers, some spares etc.

Another thing you can try is transmitter cases. I hate the box ones. This one looks compact. You can perhaps design a universal type.

As Anwar said, dont expect volumes in the RC market in India. If you can find an export market, it will work.
