is there any equipment or accessory in the market which functions as a traction control system....like an ESC with an inbuilt traction control or an external module....please dont mention the slipper clutch as a substitute as ive spent a lot of time trying to make it work.
Thanks.

iamahuman

The slipper is the ideal component to function as traction control. If you're getting lots of wheelspin, add some negative expo into the radio if possible. The ideal thing to do would be to 'train' your throttle finger....

Slipper, and specially in your case, better tires.

I bought these for my tomahawk, you get them too, excellent, direct fit, cheap, include both tire and rim.

Controlling the finger and tires are not a problem,I can,but I just wanted to know if such a device is available for RC cars

What surface is it being driven on to require traction control? High end radios have the feature, I think. I say don't bother. Get better tires.

for good grip right set of tires is the key
and for tc, the only real traction control is the throttle finger .. some prefer using it and some don't  ... i think some escs can be programmed to hv tc but all high end radios have tc .. in 10th scale there is slipper unit which works great when set correctly .

iamahuman

You can use expo if you're getting the power on too soon.

I suppose you have the stock ESC so I won't go into Punch control, start power et cetera.

IMO, the TC is a gimmick, just like ABS. ABS is possibly useful only on nitros and even then, it's used very rarely.

its been driven on the road(tarmac),and the motor is not the stock 1,its an ezrun brushless, the tires surely are worn out and im looking forward to buy prolines(on-road)

Make sure you buy soft compound, otherwise no matter what you will get a lot of wheelspin

iamahuman

Do note that a soft compound will wear out earlier. I would suggest a medium. Do you have the EZrun ESC as well? If so, turn the punch down a bit.

even in soft compound i will get a lot of wheel spin for sure! so rather i'll buy the medium!

surajhonda

and arpit ive also lost the battery holder, where can i get that? just found out the part no.-PD9211

traxxrc1

Deep treads with soft compound works best, trust me,first hand experience on this with almost exact same car man, i'v been running the same setup for quite a long time now.
BTW suraj,i'd suggest you DIY and build one strap of your own,its easy, and buying a new one would an expensive waste of cash.

Simply use the radio ATV for throttle option.

It should have a button near the power switch that you can program with.

i did that! and the result was a bent lipo batt. due to a crash(need a new lipo aswell!) so now i think its better to buy 1 as i cant risk damaging another batt.

yes there is a red button but i dont know how to use it

iamahuman

Check your manual. That should help. I admit, it's a pain programming with that tiny button.
