Hai Guys

I Have a question... Can we use a lipo for a roto starter?????

If the voltage matches, yes. The roto start needs a 7.2V battery.

but  you need to connect a lipo cut off otherwise your lipo can get over discharged

Buying a NIMH is more cheaper than that i think..... are there any other options?/?

go for a NiCd of around 15C discharge and 2000 or more mah, cheapest, provides same discharge of nimh,way more cheaper than anything

for which car are you thinking all this??
why not go for a pullstart..provides a real feel

i have the option of both pull start and hex start<rotostart> on my losi lxt xxl but i prefer the pull because it is nice and makes me feel having a powerful tougher car

Phoenix St2 doesnot require a lipo cut off its in build into it.. can you provide me a link of NICD?? I am purchasing  HPI MT2 from tower they have only rotostart.

Simple, get a 7.2v 2000mah battery from any indian hobby shop, dont break your head for this.

thank you sreedhar for your information,
but the older st 2 which came with the 2ch AM radio had the esc without lipo cutoff(the one with red and white sticker)
the new ones have a cutoff built into it(THE ONES WITH A RED SILVER STICKER)

I AM STILL NOT VERY SURE BUT I THINK SO

HA HA..... hmmm arpith the new st2 esc has lipo cut of at 3.3V i use a 2200mah 2s lipo and i get about 30min run time....
