Hi,

I am looking into getting into RC cars and or trucks. I am 35 and I have never really owned an RC,so of course now I want to fulfill my childhood dreams and get a real RC. Anyways, I am looking into gas powered and the only reason is because they are more powerful, I guess:confused: eletric seems a little easier though so I am not sure.

Please help me, I have no clue what all I need to get started or whats a good RC to get. I have been looking at  HPI and Traxxas. Please tell me other brands or websites I could find other good RCs. I really want either a fast car thats really realistic 4wd Truck .

Thanks, nikhil

Are there any websites that rate different kinds of RCs?
and which is the best website to buy Rc cars online.

I recommend Jayanth from ThrottleRC too.I had a good experience with him.I would suggest you to start out with an electric since they are easier to work on.

Depends on your budget and experience.
If you r totally new to RC cars i would suggest you to go with elecrtric as it has relatively simpler design.

But the important thing is Electric does not means Wimpy or Slow...:)
have a look at this one which is one of my cheapest cars with all upgrades for Rs. 20,000

You can buy a thunder tiger if you have low budget , go for HPI/CEN if you need excellent performance and strength with stock car, but its a lil expensive. Traxxas can provide you perfo at a lil lower price but with a little compro on strength and durability. That is what i feel.

For buying thunder tiger--
www.rcshyhobby.com
www.rotor.co.in
For HPI--Google up because there are many who sell it in india
For traxxas--
www.throttlerc.in
www.traxxas.in
For CEN--
www.rcdhamaka.com

BTW you can go to stores of Thunder tiger and traxxas personally
as they are in bangalore only.

I'll be back.

rcdhamaka doesnt have any CEN stuff. They dont have any cars either. Used to deal with GS racing ages back. I think they have lost interest in cars.

CEN doesnt have any full support in India nor are they easy to source abroad. So I would avoid. Brands easily available in India are HPI, Thundertiger, Traxxas, GS racing etc. So stick to these brands is what I would suggest.
