Which nitro car r u having? Most of the nitro cars share the same group of probs..I mean a particular problem may be more common in a particular make or brand.
Ans 1 : Pinch the fuel pipe to stop the engine.
2. Cleaning the air filter depends on the running conditions. If its a monster truck driven being bashed in loose mud, gravel..I personally used to clean it everytime after coming home. Atleast the outer foam layer.
3. No, u do not need to use afer run oil each time.. However, if u intend not to use ur vehicle for some time then, put few drops of after run or wd 40 and crank the engine.
More experienced nitro car/truck enthusiasts may chip in now n guide the newb.\

See the sticky threads on this forum to see the video on operating nitros. You will have issues. Thats part of running nitros. Feel free to ask for help.
hi all,
Needed to know a few more things,
1. If the nitro content is less should the mixture be richer or leaner.
2. What is ideal nitro content.
3. Is there any harm is some rain splashes on the engine's heat sink, in water proof vehicles.
(HPI Bullet ST, HPI Trophy 3.5 Buggy)
thanks :hatsoff:

If you are moving from lower nitro to higher, mixture should be richer
2. What is ideal nitro content.
Depends on engine, if lower than .21 size (3.5cc), I suggest max of 20%

I doubt if cars are water proof rc cars, it can be water resistant. Your electronics can fail if water gets into them. If you are expecting to drive in water or puddles, get your electronics to be water resistant.
