Come on, post how many and what cars do you have/own, how fast have you driven it, or any other cool stuff that you did with the car.
also where do u drive them and what jumps / stunts did you do with it..?
i have a
HPI Baja 5T-did 70kmph with it and a little bit jumps
Savage xl 5.9- did 75-80 kmph with it, jumped it from almost 10 feets, broke a couple of steering knuckles, shock mount, now upgraded to a 5mm chasis
Traxxas Summit- 60kmph-climbed stairs of my house with it, sand climbing also
Slash 2wd - 55-60 kmph, did a 5 feet jump, broke the front shock mount and servo assembly
Phoenix-40kmph broke almost everything with it except the main chasis
I will get a slash 4X4.
good choice, spares are a prob but , performs awesome, i got 2wd bcz 4by4 wasn't available that time
Why?Traxxas is in India right now
Is yours bl?Honestly, how much difference does 2wd make over 4wd?
ya,i upgraded it to bl,stock was brushed,
2wd is a bit difficult to steer compared to 4wd, also 4wd has better climbing power as traction is provided by 4wheels instead of two.
also 4wd comes with a bl system(velinion i think!) which i better than the brushed titan 550 motor
2WD always ends up doing donuts, if you pump the throttle at first.. You have to gradually finger the throttle... IMO, 4WD is a much better option..
2wd use inefficient motor as well....(in most cases)
4wd mostly have brushless thus powerful(except a few like sparrowhawk xt)
Yes, that's because if you upgrade to brushless, it becomes quite useless, except for going straight up and down the road...
sorry, i din get you..!
Well,he means to say it becomes like a rustler.2wd and bl do not seem to be a good combo. So,you can drag race with it.Do weight reduction,if you can,add a stronger motor and drag race it.
^^ What iamahuman said.. Also, you always end up "burning out" and losing control, so its hardly any good for track racing, unless you have really good throttle control...
u do can upgrade to metal shocks, ball bearings, metal transmission gears, dig. high torque servos, and a BL combo, and what u get is a new car, now not only drag, you can run it on track or go out bashing...it performs strangely different to what u had
But then,I guess the slash 4X4 would be better.
obviously slasg 4X4 would be better and comparitively very cheap as well but that was an option in case u wan to get more out of your 2wd car
yeah. That is why I will get the slash 4X4
BTW what cars do you have "iamhuman"?
Right now, nothing. And my name is Gandhar.
Became an rc addict few months ago, convinced my dad to get me the slash 4x4,just don't know when.I am in the tenth standard.Still,I'll try to get it as early as I can.Dad said the longest time would be the end of my exams.I will try to convince him to get it earlier. On the brighter side,if I buy it next year,Traxxas might make it better.(Read that handling i an issue)
That's probably the best you can get for that price and has a really good build quality, tires create a lot of problem though
i got my first car when i got my clss 10 results, 29may,2009
nice.Quick advance
and what was that.Guessing it is the TTr Phoenix STII
no, its slash 2wd, TTr was actually meant to be gifted to my younger cousin, but i missed his B'day and then forgot to send it to him, so i kept it for myself...!
why dont you start off with a nitro?? its better than electric than electric and everyone knows that..!
No way man.Electrics are way faster.Well,I don't want to start another argument like on other forums. And nitro requires more setup.Electric is more like plug and play. When bashing, nitro bugs neighbours.
Nai yaar, low end electrics are noway faster than nitros
however electrics priced above 40 000 rupees like summit, e-revoBL, savage flux, are definitely fast and powerful but not the low end electrics
And i dont think there would be anyone trying to do a speedrun in neighbourhood, go to some field or track,
i personnaly have 3 electrics, 1 petrol and 2 nitros, n i love the nitros the most
once you get your engine properly tuned and broken in your nitros will also behave like fuel up and play. do requires a little maintainence but pays for it
also electrics like even a savage flux are more plastic and nitros like even the tomahawk bx are more metal made
