SO how long will it take for custom clearance.. The item is xbox 360 i ordered from amazon. Delivery is at Goa.
It get small items like game dvd or computer accessories fast. but this is taking time.. The delivery date is 19th to 28th august. so i just wanted to know.

two of my packages are held up for no reason. im too worried.

i stay at a place which is 500 km away from bangalore and it is held up at bangalore fpo, so i cannot go there.

they sent me letters asking for invoice for both, i did send them back.
but they never replied and also not releasing.

The last line worries me . Why are they not sending it to the customs and also why is the last line (Otb), are they sending it back???

I think they are inserting into the bag to send it to you. I just think that you should not worry.

I also like to think this way but this outbound in the end is bugging my mind. why aint it inbound

They are sending it "outbound" from Kolkata to Delhi (or wherever your address is), after inspecting it there.  Typically people are thrilled to see this status

I have had a friend send me a Xenon Flashlight from Belgium including battery's and a charger. It's been many days and the status has been struck at Return items from customs(inb). It was meant a Christmas gift and I haven't received it till now. Here's the status

It hasn't been updated from the past 5, 6 days.
I'm a 'lil bit worried as it's a brand new flashlight and expensive one. I think he valued it at 15 USD and sent it as a gift. Destination is Hyderabad. Any idea when will I receive the package?

The item should be delivered to you, it took more than a week for the status of my parcel to change from "Return item from customs" to "sent item to domestic destination". Then it took 5 days for the item to arrive at my doorstep with approx 14% customs on Rs 800! Paid Rs 148. Retention reason was same as yours, and in the receipt, under particulars it was mentioned "Plastics"
Item was 2 pieces of Samsung s3 replacement screen glass.

BTW the same thing costs around Rs 1200 per piece locally, so still it was a good deal.

Im not sure, but the amount should not be more than 30%. And Registered International Mail takes time, a month or 45 days is normal from my experience.

Hey guys Indian Goverment does not charge customs products under 2000 rs

Aman, I doubt that... I've had the bad luck of ordering something that was 8 dollars on invoice and still being charged 1700 Rs. as duty... I did not accept the item, it went to the F.P.O and despite my follow up the parcel was lost...since the amount was less, I chose to forgo it after 5 attempts of visiting the F.P.O...I now believe its plain luck

It's going to be like One week since my package is not updated from "Return items from customs (inb)". Should I make a attempt to call them(Mumbai FPO) or wait for sometime. I heard they would push around 40% customs if we call them and expedite the process. So should I be calling them or wait for some time?
