Hi, from my experience, China post may take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. So chill out, you'll get your package, mostly. There is usually a long gap between send item abroad and received item at office of exchange (point of entry in India). After that, it will go to customs, then you sit in your mandir everyday and pray for goodwill of the customs greedy babus. Usually the parcel spends 2 days to 1 week in customs (also took a 2 weeks once). As soon as it comes out of customs, it takes 2 to 3 days to reach you.

actually this is first time m facing this issue... i was worried coz they have not updated any info after 7/7/15..

Even I am waiting for 2 packages from EBay- one shipped by China post and the other by Netherlands Post. The status has been "Send item abroad" since 29/6/15 and 3/7/15 respectively. I have always received packages much faster than this. I am not sure why it is so slow this time 

i am to worried about my order... why they are taking this much time

all parcels from china are delayed. my spare display for SJ400 Action cam is due to update after shipping conformation from 6-6-15. still in china.

kolkata sorting station is not updating tracking info...

First of all beware of the Chinese iPhones, they make imitated versions, you will feel cheated even after spending 100$ for it.
Secondly to import Personal use Electronic items (including mobile phones) BY POST is RESTRICTED . You will be charged 41% alongwith mood of custom officer a Penalty of minimum Rs.6000.

I would like to share, i had been charged Rs.8000 (duty and penalty) for a Rs.3500 value phone i had imported from japan. The same was rejected by me and sent back, which took 3 months to reach the seller. (they return goods by SeaMail)

@Buddyjam: Yes the iphones are fake but on good chinese site they mention it like on aliexpress. But they are not that bad. my friend bought a hdc iphone from china and it actually has fingerprint scanner! for i think around 150$ for quad core and 200$ for octa core!!

For electronic items i have been recently charge 1700 for 5000rs item as it was registered and gift marked by seller and a big box!

you should get it by dhl or fedex and the custom won't charge you more than the rule.

When we order through register there's no third party who knows if you are overcharged so customs will charge you 40%!

So better get it from dhl or fedex which is faster and safer also low custom, as when we order through registered, out of the 40% only the 10-28% by book rule goes to the govt and rest....

If you still order through reg/ems then always take a photo of the receipt as the postman will only show you but won't give as ordered by custom, you won't have any proof of overcharged by custom if you want to take it to rti. So take a quick photo of the receipt.

Yes you get a receipt on the box pasted but it doesn't mention the value of the item and what % custom charge you so basically useless paper!

@gunnu- Don't call it will take more time and they will charge you more duty. Just wait, it will arrive.

Kolkata foreign post is very very slow as all the china post comes there and very less workers to process the item. I had my item stuck for 2 months but arrived after few weeks.

And it stucked in mumbai customs from past 6 days.

Vidz, may I please ask you to turn off your caps lock and type? On the internet when someone types in capitals they come across as shouting/yelling.
In my experience a parcel can take anywhere from two weeks to two months. Be patient or use expedited shipping. If possible select Hong Kong post, they are fast and don't tend to get delayed in customs, for some reason.

Ok so coming back, i wanted to know how much I would be charged for customs fee and any idea on Bangalore customs?
