Just be patient. It takes time. There is Rakshabandhan rush, could have been delayed because of that.

Almost all articles that landed in India around first week of August are delayed. My 5th Aug article too got released only an hour ago. Others too should free up soon.

I wanted to ask you guys, how much time one should wait after submitting the documents to (sent to them through Registered A.D. and per tracking reached as well to them) Customs Dept/Foreign Post Office? When they can release the parcel?

Can somebody please help me; its been stuck since 18th of July 2016. Have submitted all of the documents as well to them two times - one thru email and another thru Registered A.D. and both of the times, my documents reached appropriately. (thru post documents reached to them on 12th Aug 2016)

My item is powerbank and cost is less than Rs. 2000/-. To be precise cost including everything is Rs. 550/-. Item destination is Ahmedabad and its stuck in Ahmedabad Customs office/foreign post office. I've also sent them the Notification S.O.No.1056(E), dated 31.12.1993 issued by Ministry of Commerce under the Customs Act, 1962 by Government of India, it clearly states imported goods which comes through post for the category of electronic items whose C.I.F. value is less than Rs. 2000/- (rupees two thousand) should not be entitled for any custom duty

I wanted to ask you guys, how much time one should wait after submitting the documents to Customs Dept/Foreign Post Office? When they can release the parcel?

Could anybody please help me. I'd really appreciate that.

i have ordered too many thungs through registered post even worth of 2700 Rupees...but this is first time my parcel delayed in CED Ahmedabad...it worth of only 1300 INR... I have contacted ahmedabad customs they told me that they have registered my parcel for complaint...they will work on it.

i have ordered too many thungs through registered post even worth of 2700 Rupees...but this is first time my parcel delayed in CED Ahmedabad...it worth of only 1300 INR... I have contacted ahmedabad customs they told me that they have registered my parcel for complaint...they will work on it.

Told them when there's such a defined rule by Govt. of India why then imposing the duty even rule says no custom duty should apply for electronic item whose CIF is less than Rs. 2000/-. That customs person told me minimum duty they are require to pay which is 15%. Even they said my parcel having different invoice which is $20, I also mentioned and written you can verify the charges thru my bank statement and they're saying so many nonsense stuff. I've already made complaint at DPG - Directorate of Public Grievance; you know what mention everything. Customs wants money in anyhow and which I won't let that happen!

Sure...appreciate that. I'm from Ahmedabad and tomorrow I'm going to have a word with them personally. Address is also stupid! What mentioned in their letter, technically it doesn't exists. Google is showing something different. Let me figure out and I'll also update in here. Meantime, if anybody have any other advise, please help us guys.

A product i purchased online is sent by China EMS to India Post EMS, received by Mumbai EMS on 3 Aug 2016 dispatched to CED, India Post Kolkata same day Destination is Guwahati ASSAM. The parcel was stuck up somewhere and i could not not know where it was held. After much inquiry through emails and calls also i couldnot know the status of my parcel. So, after no information and assistance from India Post i had to address to the consumer forum and the public grievance redressal forum. Now, after this yesterday on 28th aug, all of a sudden the IPS web tracking shows the latest update as item was held up at Customs for unspecified reasons and that it is now being "sent out of sorting centre : next office : Mumbai EMS". I am assuming that my package is now being returned to sender ??

It's astounding : i mean i have been searching for my package for so long and to have it delivered to me going through so much efforts, and even kolkata India Post knows all this. And after no Information whatsoever that it was held up by customs all along and no intimation to me about requirements. they are simply sending it BACK ?  They have not even sent me any mail or telephone calls or any letters about requirements etc etc.

Can anyone assist me what i should do to get back my parcel before they ship it back ?

You haven't mentioned what is in the package. If it is an import banned item, you can't do anything

You item has reached NSH GUWAHATI latest even though the next office was mentioned as EMS BOMBAY for the previous few entries. The wrong next office entry is a common error. Item should reach you soon.

What a pleasant Surprise... Just rcvd a telephone call from Local PO. It seems my package arrived yesterday. Strange about the online status though. Btw, i had to pay Rs836 extra on customs duty. But, i am thankful at least i got my parcel and thankful to India Post authorities that they took note of my pleas and delivered my shipment.
My package consists of a Kickstarted Boardgame and intended purely for personal purposes.
