CED means customs enforcement department!? It took nearly 7days for my shipment to reach chennai APSO customs from Mumbai i guess it will change for you as tracking showing that next office is CED Ahmadabad  try to track in SG post too i did in Ali POS and indian post cause India post tracking saying shipment data not found but in 17track and POS i can track .as few members said its better not to contact customs on own unless we feel the time is over than normal!?

i have ordered too many thungs through registered post even worth of 2700 Rupees...but this is first time my parcel delayed in CED Ahmedabad...it worth of only 1300 INR... I have contacted ahmedabad customs they told me that they have registered my parcel for complaint...they will work on it.

Yeah, I even had a word with them. Told them when there's such a defined rule by Govt. of India why then imposing the duty even rule says no custom duty should apply for electronic item whose CIF is less than Rs. 2000/-. That customs person told me minimum duty they are require to pay which is 15%. Even they said my parcel having different invoice which is $20, I also mentioned and written you can verify the charges thru my bank statement and they're saying so many nonsense stuff. I've already made complaint at DPG - Directorate of Public Grievance; you know what mention everything. Customs wants money in anyhow and which I won't let that happen!

Sure...appreciate that. I'm from Ahmedabad and tomorrow I'm going to have a word with them personally. Address is also stupid! What mentioned in their letter, technically it doesn't exists. Google is showing something different. Let me figure out and I'll also update in here. Meantime, if anybody have any other advise, please help us guys.

From what i can understand it looks like its going back to Chennai from Mumbai.
Just for your information the parcel has some propellers and a camera and delivery is meant for Pune.

What this means is that your package is stuck at customs. They will verify and if it clears it'll reach within 2 weeks. Else you'll get a mail stating the reason and what you should do to follow up.

But first it was send to local destination then its sent to RMS then how its stuck?

Oops. Made a mistake. Didn't read the dates. As you can see it was sent to customs on 28th and now its at domestic location on 30th. So you'll get your package by the end of next week!

Hey this is umesh from mumbai.I have bought an drome from netherland via aliexpress. It has already arrived in mumbai and stuck in mumbai custom office from last 8 day now suddenly a get a notice from commissioner for submitting some documents like DPC license and all shit.. Plz any one help me what to do..coz i need my drone to my door step not my money.....

Few days back i had ordered a Wifi Router from aliexpress. The cost was aroung 30$ which come to approximate 2100 Rs. Today, when I received the parcel via Indian Post, but there was a custom duty of Rs 1275 (1245(CD) + 30(Postage)) charged on it. Considering the price it comes to approximate 60% of the price.

I wanted to inquire,
- what happens if I don't accept the Custom duty changes and return the package?
- will the package be sent back to the aliexpress seller or would it be auctioned?
- Will I be able to get back the refund of the amount that i paid?

Please help. As of now, i have asked the postman to keep the parcel on hold. He said if I don't turn up in 2 days, the parcel would automatically be returned.

If you do not want to pay, they will resend the item. But sometimes it gets lost. But you can try. And aliexpress seller refunds when he gets back the item most of the times.

Can you please tell us why customs levied so much tax? Did the seller undervalued the item or misdeclared? Any explanation from Customs?

Thanks for the response. I have no idea why so much tax was charged. What I received was the postman coming to my place and mentioning that this much is the amount to be paid.

What do you suggest, wheather to pay the duty and then claim for refund or just return the item. Are there any chances of my parcel being not sent back and kept by the customs for auction?
