Today I was flying my RC plane at local Army parade ground called "Butchery ground" in Lucknow and I was shocked :o to see that a two seater army ranger plane landed at single lane road adjacent to the ground. This plane was landed without any ground assistance and between many guys playing football and basketball. Here is a video i shoot with my mobile camera:

Gutsy landing!!!
Where is butchery ground?
is it between the alambagh and cant area?
yup it is between alambagh and cantt.
Really Awesome....!!! {:)} {:)} {:)}
you guys better be careful. Even a small incident might put a full stop to all activity plus get into serious trouble.
Flying near places ( without permission/clearance ) where real airplanes might land would be asking for trouble
The pilot seems accustomed to landing there.
this is some serious s**t!
1st of all why does that plane want to land there
2nd that is a REAL plane and not an rc on that it can just go any where and land
question to all
is it allowed in indian civil aviation to land anywhere in the country???
Thanks for ur suggestion gaurav ji. we are extremely carefull to our flying. but i was wondered that even after landing, the pilot didn't bother as we asked to resume our flying. Then he said with a smile on his face that u can continue ur flying.
Prateek, i would like to remind u that it was an army ranger plane as i mentioned in earlier post not a civilian one. so i think they already got the permission to land in such ground which is on army land. but the horrible part is the first plane landed without any ground assistance.
the allowance part is ok but landing without ground assistance is very bad :'( :o >:(
Criminal is what it is!! Unless thats his house where he lives and has no way to reach and he has permission to kill!!
:iagree: :iagree:
Woah! Seriously good landing! A few more details please.. Who does the plane belong to? Is that road used often as a runway (by real aircraft)? Why did he land there? I'm confused..
Bond....James Bond! :salute:
hEY its not a big deal. I have seen planes landing without ground assistance a couple of times..
As far as the crime is considered, the land belongs to Indian National Army, and I think they have got appropriate rights to land anywhere in their area.
However, as far as the civilians playing there are considered, truly it was a dangerous for them.I hope the pilot might have had someone on ground talking on radio, to get a greenchit for a safer runway.
Today i had a glimpse of the place, and i had gone there many times. But i didnt knew the place by name.
sorry i can't provide more details about that incident because first of all i m the intruder in their area. so i hadn't any right to question them whom did this plane belongs to or why they landed there. as far as i guess it was the property of army (there was a word ''ARMY RANGER PLANE'' printed at the aircraft) and the pilots seems like army personnel.
secondly there may be someone with radio set to assist in landing, but none of them approach us to warn not to fly our rc plane here.
but as soon as the plane landed. the pilot warned us to immediately take down our rc plane because another plane was going to land there soon. unfortunately i couldn't record the video of second plane.
There after second plane was smoothly landed in the ground and when we asked them to resume our flying both of the pilot permitted us with a proudly smile.
