NOPE...

Skysurfer is a better option...as its EPO

Tiny trainer is made up of depron/Hi-density thermocol/biofoam is much more fragile.

If I buy a Sky Surfer, which Transmitter should I buy? The one recommended on the page? Avionic RCB6i or Avionic OS-10 2.4Ghz transmitter or any other?

KALYANPRODHAN

Basic 4 channel will be suitable for beginner, with channel trim and inversion option manually.
Though later you feel 6-9 channel will be beneficial, with model save option, but 4 channel will be easier for now.
Use simulator practice first please...

You can take FlySky FS-i4X 2.4GHz 4CH AFHDS R/C Transmitter + FS-A6 Receiver @ 2650/-

https://robu.in/product/flysky-fs-i4x-2-4ghz-4ch-afhds-r-c-transmitter-fs-a6-receiver/
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

i would recommend to buy a TX with RX....minimum 6 Channel..

A Friend bala is selling one here...this  is a better option n worth it...

Hi
http://www.rcindia.org/for-sale/turnigy-9xr-pro-with-frsky-djt-module/
I do have a transmitter as well for sale, it will be good for you, it's pretty flexible as you can use it as a beginner and also a professional user

Adel

Many thanks for all the replies. As regards to the Transmitter below is the list of all the Transmitters that got a mention in this discussion. The first two are recommended by RC Bazaar for flying a Skysurfer. The rest were offered to me on this thread as better but second hand options. Which one should I go for?

1:   Avionic RCB6i
2:   Avionic OS-10 2.4Ghz transmitter
3:   FlySky FS-i4X 2.4GHz 4CH AFHDS R/C Transmitte
4:   Turnigy  9XR with frsky DJT module with open TX flashed on
5:   Flysky i6 with ia6b receiver

Mohammed Naveed

Personal option
Avionics transmitter are fine, but when it comes to spares or upgrade you dont have any options for upgrade and spares are very less so you are highly dependent on rc bazzar.

Flysky i6 is a very good setup and commonly used and 6ch

Turnigy is also good , it is 9ch out of box and can also be upgraded with frsky radio module which opens up more channels like 24channels, also you can swap the module and give you more range and flexibility, you can interface with all the frsky Receivers and you get alot of upgrades for this setup. And its also support open source firmware with constant updates.

every one will always recommend you to invest in a good TX setup....if you are planning to stay in the hobby for along time.....better get the best available which you can afford...

In my opinion option 4:   Turnigy  9XR with frsky DJT module with open TX flashed on  is the best option you have India....( below 10 K )

I had Turnigy 9x ....was using it was the stock module.... had many connection glitches...crashed/lost many models...
Later I upgraded to FrSky DJT module....never had any problems....

I would highly recommend Turnigy  9XR with frsky DJT module it is the best for its price.....

Firstly you have to understand that you get what you pay for. Your budget chooses a radio.

1. Flysky i6 @Rs.3500. Suitable if you are tight on budget. Best radio at that price. It has built in screen so it is better compared to i4 tx.

2. Frsky X9 lite comes next. Budget friendly. Only drawback is lack of JR module.

3. Frsky QX7 is next stop priced  ~@Rs.9K to 10500. This is best in this range.

4. Frsky X9D plus 2019 comes next. This is one of the best transmitters in the market suitable for both high gear planes and also multirotors. It is priced ~@12K to 22K depending on model and where you are buying it.

5. Flysky paladin series. New in market. You may try to look it for yourself. I just wanted to point it's existence.

Decide for yourself.

I always suggest starting with low end as they can be easily sold for next beginner.

.

Can give you this for, say, 2000 incl speedpost.
Bought for 2400 from another member 2-3 years ago for a newcomer who never came back.
Been lying idle all this time.

If I had felt that ct6b type tx are worth starting the hobby with then I would have suggested him the same in my list.

I don't suggest anything below Flysky i6. I don't know better budget transmitter than Flysky i6 as of today. If anybody knows then please suggest.

sim_tcr

Fs-i6 is my current radio too. So far never faced any issues with that.
Moded with 10 channel firmware also battery mod.

But once you grow up with hobby, you will see that you need more features such as rssi, warnings, telemetry etc.
That's where fs-i6 lack and Frsky come in to picture.
And yes, I too won't recommend anything below fs-i6.

pnkyjs

Might consider the JUMPER series too (8sg+, 12, 16). Multiprotocol, so any and most protocols receivers can be bound.
