I was thinking  somewhere in a very visible location on the home page there could be a small banner or a flashing sign that  would guide beginners to the the beginners child board of the forum .

Don't know if would be an acceptable Idea for other though.

Its a good idea and should also contain a list of DOs and Donts as well (like how not to fry stuff )

Although I did not feel at all that the "Beginner Zone" area is not visible enough, I have made it the very first board.

BTW, if we want to collectively help beginners, we should start writing articles in the RC India Wiki (http://www.rcindia.org/wiki/), which has not seen any usage since launch.  It is the best medium for people to collectively summarize information.  We should start writing articles like "What is the best beginner radio choice?", "What is the best locally available beginner airplane?" etc.  If any beginners asks these questions, we can just redirect them to this Wiki link.

It uses the same software a "Wikipedia" so if you know how to edit Wikipedia links, you should feel at home already. If not, it is a great skill to pick up !
